Must haves:
Lining rear window
Rear view mirror screen (I mean come on)
Nice to haves:
Auto presenting doors
Air compressor that works for others accessories
More power accessories tie ins(other than frunk and roof)
Ability to name accessories in UI(Hummer EV can do this, 8 available accessory points)
Ability to turn on accessories with lights or DRL
Dashboard (might be ok, wife got used to having no cluster in her Model 3, but I love my Model S Custer)
Permanent ride height, saw two cyber trucks pull into a supercharger on my last trip, one with high suspension and one set to low, the high looked so bad ass in comparison.

My current list, will need to think about it more:
*full sized spare tire, but under the bed
*better range without the need to hog up more bed space w/ a range extender with a full sized tire on top of that, ug! (I use my truck to haul shiznet)
*rear window rolldown to the vault
*100% waterproof vault to rain at least. Would make life hauling more weather sensitive items in the bed.
*a standard wiper lever or more customizable wiper settings with interval timing, etc. Auto mode is complete WTF - very inconsistent speed with the same driven speed and rain intensity
*accessories that are actively developed and in stock! Winch, powered fridge, trash can, etc
*even lower fog lights
*collision & parking avoidance --> haters, feel free to jump in because I have an early unit and "it's a part of FSD"
*FSD naturally. No parking avoidance shouldn't be part of FSD
*Day 1 support for Sirius XM (hardware or software subscription) - very much listening to Sirius
*Android auto
*a freaking built in garage door opener (rumor has this is part of FSD too! ;) )
*my girls who always ride in the back would want cooling seats
*more supported bluetooth devices at one time for phone connectivity, iPod, multiple game controllers, etc.
*Wrapping and paint jobs as upgrade order options so the truck is colored as desired when delivered.
*streamline the powershare installs and installers so prices are more consistent and reasonable. My guy was fine, but there are some absolute horror stories and people getting gouged.
*kind of truck related --> longer super charging cables at existing SC stations to make charging a little easier; way more faster speed chargers and pass through chargers for those of us hauling trailers
*kind of a twist on being able to play your own songs on a hard drive, would be cool if Tesla support MP4 and MKV files in theater more to bring a movie collection along for long trips
*Starlink internet connectivity built in with 5g cell connection fail safe connection..............4g --> WTF?
*Another total dream option --> play games multiplayer, but with other Tesla users remote or nearby who are charging. That would be pretty fun.
*more voice commands in general. Compared to Google, Tesla is lacking in this area.
*small instrument cluster like in an X. I'm over the rear view mirror and have done the mental remap there, but for speed and navigation from a useability sense, makes sense to have a cluster

Yay.... that's my short list as of now. One can dream right?

Lots said, did not see 500 mile range.
Probably because MOST people aren't going to drive it 500 miles in 'one shot' without stopping for food, bathrooms, etc...

But it would be nice... 1000 would be nicer... hehe... But I could get by with just 300 most of the time, but for camping it would be good for getting into/out of backwoods areas AND staying there and using the battery for a few days... Remember, not all (in fact most) campgrounds do NOT have power!

An audible alert that person is too close or is Ben g recorded. Something to warn the people that feel the need to touch it. A Sentry mode audible alert shouldn’t be too difficult to update

I’m picking up my tactical gray CB on Monday and though I’m probably more excited for it than any car before (with maybe the exception of my 2014 FJ Cruiser that it’s ostensibly replacing), i’m still smarting over one promise, one suggestion and one expectation from the initial reveal:

1) Broken Promise: I was promised 500 miles range in the top end and I’m getting 200 miles less than that this is a tough pill to swallow. I really chief at Elon‘s fallback position that “nobody really needs that much range.” I do! I want to be able to drive out into the middle of nowhere, decide that I want to stay there overnight and climate controlled heaven. [Or, I want to be able to drive from Southern Nevada to Southern California and not need to stop in charge get to my destination and still have enough range to drive around to do all the things that I need to do without stressing about getting a charge.]

2) Unfulfilled Expectation: the first scenario above ties into this one. With every other Tesla even the freaking model three one of the benefits is that because the car is electric you can run climate control and be comfortable wherever you find yourself so long as you have sufficient charge. In the cyber truck this would’ve required there to be access between the cabin and the bed and the lack of that greatly diminishes the vehicles usefulness for this scenario. Lots of us were expecting this capability and I believe Elon implied that it would be there. At least enough to the point that he had to expressly state that it wasn’t going to happen (sometime between the reveal and the start of production don’t remember when exactly).

3. Omitted implied feature: the ramp integrated in the tailgate. It was never promised but it certainly was shown to us as a feature that the truck would have. I understand that this is a weight trade-off and I rarely load anything into a vehicle where I need a ramp but it would’ve been cool to have.

4. Bonus gripe: he told us from the beginning we would be able to remove the side mirrors but holy crap I never expected it to be such an eyesore once they were removed! Expected them to be designed around the idea that they were going to be subtracted and look nice without having to go to some third-party kit paste the whole. ?

I want the window to be able to let HVAC in my CyberTent without having to buy that expensive duct work product. I am assuming a lot of us want it for the same tihing.

integrated air compressor as shown on prototype
integrated ramp as shown on prototype
I forgot this in my list it wasn’t just shown he literally said that it would have an onboard compressor. So, that’s another promise not kept. far less significant than the 500 mile range though.

- Support for 37s without mods
Support for 37s without mods
What is this supposed to mean? I don't understand.

If it could support a bigger wheel, wouldn't it... just have it? And isn't a different wheel also a mod?

  • Better brakes (should be capable of locking up the tires)
Doesn't it let you lock the tires in offroad mode?

Usually it's not the strength of the brakes stopping you from locking up the brakes, but the strength of the antilock system.

I would love to have a wireless charger into the car that doesn't overheat every single phone I use.

I hope people are sending these ideas directly to Tesla. Several of them could be addressed by updates.

-8 foot bed or folding tailgate that allows 8 foot flatgoods to be secured
-Bull bar and winch
-Camper shell

How do you send ideas directly to Tesla? I will blow up their inbox if there is a way to send these ideas.

When I compare to our other F150 truck or I'd say:

- read trailer backup assist or auto hitch alignment
- opening rear window
- real pano sunroof, these glass roofs are a cheap out
- powered shad for glass pano roof
- real collapsible rear seat under storage built in like Ford, not some cheap plastic container insert
- actual decent wheel options
- few more cupholders
- power lift gate is nice
