Call me unimaginative, but I'm having a hard time figuring out why the backseats are such a big deal. I wouldn't call myself a backseat connoisseur by any stretch, but I'm generally familiar with the concept - and I can't imagine anything so mindblowing that it'd need to be hidden until the delivery event.

So what do you think is back there?

It could be your first item and one of the rest but likely(as per usual) something not on your list, so I cannot vote.

By the way, polls are not supposed to be imaginative, but to cover the entire range of options, so if you want to provide a bunch of impossible options at least give us an ‘other’ option.

Nothing. usually truck backseats are very simple and seeing how simple the rest of the truck ended up i think the backseat will be very simple. I think the reason they are hiding it so much is that the headroom is going to be a joke. I think the average mans head will be 2" from the ceiling.

Interesting. I suspect there are possibilities back there worth knowing about:

- possible rear seat display on 'plaid' variant
- number of cup holders
- sure, ventilated seats (why not?)
- lighting
- ventilation
- bed access
- seat mobility (can the move at all, fold up, fold down)
- storage
- overhead window coatings (UVA/UVB, etc)
- phone charger
- other entertainment options
- other

At one point I think that Franz mentioned the rear seats would fold up and in one pic we saw one of the rear seats folded up. In one pic we saw what appeared to be a rear seat display. I think people have every reason to wonder about what is going on back there.

It's right here. Has been for 5 months since it was posted:
Yes, very nice but still not complete. I am not worried about it myself but I think those who are concerned should have their curiosity quelled. Same for the front seat. SPECS man, we would all like them

There's a screen back there. It's 10.5" and is set up for rear heating/cooling/heated seat controls and entertainment while the vehicle is in motion or stopped. This is from a very reliable... Well, actually, just from my unreliable brain.

It's been mentioned before on this forum (by people who ostensibly work at GFTX) that this isn't the final production design, and that the backseat has been consciously omitted from photos since the design was finalized.

I think we’ll have plenty of pics/info on the back seat in a few weeks, and that’s good enough for me. But for those who just can’t stand it, we could offer an attractive but affordable cash prize to the first person who stumbles over a trailer full of RC’s and is brave enough to take and post a thorough and sharp set of photos (and/or slowly panned landscape video) of all parts of the back seat area. We’d fund the prize with go-fund-me. Surely there are plenty of impatience folk here who are each willing pay $20 or so to have their fervent desire granted. 🫤

I am not saying don't wonder, rather all signs of how simple they have made the truck are pointing to a very simple rear seat area. Either way, people are going to think its the coolest thing since sliced bread.

we have already seen the backseat and its not exciting. I think its one of the last semi unknown areas so some people are holding out hopes for some mind blowing feature to offset the disappointment in some of the other very simplified features of the truck.

Is it a midgate? Tell me it's a midgate....!

Or a free Optimus passenger to help out at home? Perhaps just a Barbie doll sized Optimus.

Or a second level of battery pack to get to the 500 mile range?

In some respects, the simpler it is the easier it is to keep clean!

This is definitely something I look for in a vehicle. less cracks and crevices to collect debris and less features to break. I think an electric truck has a lot to live up to compared to some of the really great ICE trucks out there and simplicity is key to be a rugged workhorse.
