Does anyone else have a cloudy windshield and cannot get it clear

Have a question if this has happened to anyone else with a Cybertruck.
On delivery the windshield was pretty cloudy, when we drove away into the setting sun, I could barely see out of it.
I tried to clean it at home several times with water, spray away, alcohol, and it’s not really working, better but the cloudiness just smears. It’s off gassing, just can’t get it clean.

Took it to a professional tint company to have all the windows ceramic tinted, clear on the windshield and roof.
They said they tried for 4hrs and could not get the windshield totally clean.
They used many different products and it’s much better but still just a tad cloudy.

They said wait a month or so and keep trying to clean it and bring it back and they should be able to tint the windshield.

Anyone else have this issue?

There is a video on youtube by OCDetailing about how to best clean the inside of the CT windshield. Its a common finding with the size and perhaps off gassing of the hot interior initially.

Ah, might have been out of spec detailing. There is a thread on the forum here discussing best way to clean the WS.

Laminated glass has an inner plastic layer. If this is the source of the cloudiness, it obviously cannot be corrected.

It's a challenge to get glass streak-free, but the surface oils are not some super meta-material that is impossible to remove. I also had some cloudiness/glare that was consistent with outgassing contamination, and it was easily cleaned off.

If all of the other glass in the vehicle is clear, then I would say the windshield is the problem. I don't know if that's enough to convince Tesla to replace it. however.

Mine started a bit cloudy, offgassing I guess.

Used Invisible glass with a microfiber pad on extended handle thingy, then invisble glass with a lint free towel from Griots. First time much better, second time better, third time completely perfectly clear

My windshield is foggy in places and almost has streak somehow what appears to be in the glass. Never seen anything like it.

mine was so hazy it reminded me of blowing a heater core in a ICE vehicle.

Mine had a couldy surface film. Had to buy an expandable windshield wand to help reach. I used No-ammonia glass cleaner and a micro-fiber towel. Then followed up with a dry microfiber towel and elbow grease.

I I have my truck in a service appointment today for a couple issues, one being this cloudy spot that I believe is inside the glass. Passenger side right behind the sun visor. We’ll see what they say..

I too had this in the 1st month or so ... was constantly trying to clean it, it would seem clean then an hour later cloudy. I am 3 months in and it's not a problem anymore. I don't know what changed. I use sprayway and a windshield pole.

Mine is perfectly fine. It does, however, fog up a bit down low when i first get in sometimes. I crack the windows and it’s gone in 30 seconds.

This is a common issue with new cars. All the plastics, foams and materials they use inside "off-gas" and leave a thin film of hopefully not toxic residue. This is the "new car smell". Heat can accelerate off-gassing.

I received my cybertruck Sept 2 . As I was driving out of the lot into the sun I thought the windshield must have fogged up. I was nearly impossible to see through.. so I stopped and turned on the defog. It was 95 outside. Went to over 100 inside in a heartbeat but still could not see out that's when it became clear the windshield was dirty.

After 2 hours of wiping, scrubbing and washing it was clean enough to drive.
