From the CT manual:

CAUTION: Some national or local regulations restrict the use of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). VOCs are commonly used as freeze protection in washer fluid. Use a washer fluid with limited VOC content only if it provides adequate freeze resistance for all climates in which you drive Cybertruck. CAUTION: Use only ethanol-based windshield washer fluid meant for automotive vehicles. Using other substances, such as untreated water, can result in bacterial growth within the climate control system resulting in odor or potential damage that is not covered by warranty. Untreated pure water expands to ice when freezing, which may result in damage. CAUTION: Do not add formulated washer fluids that contain water repellent or bug wash. These fluids can cause streaking, smearing, and squeaking or other noises. WARNING: In temperatures below -32° F (0° C), use a washer fluid with antifreeze. In cold weather, using a washer fluid without antifreeze can impair visibility through the windshield.

Has nothing to do with poor windshield washing capability.
I can fill my MY washer tank with piss and it will outperform my CT wiper ability to clean windshield by 100 times.

After the replacement of my wiper motor assembly, the wiper barely shoots out water. I have to hold the washer button for a very long time to get enough water to clean the windshield. I hope they fix it.
Did they kink the water line? Yikes

I’m guilty of using the anti-bug washer fluid. Is there a way to ‘cleanse’ the system? I can go back to regular wiper washer fluid since I’m in Florida.

Mine works fine in the rain, but the spray nozzles don't put out nearly enough liquid to clean a dry, dusty windshield.

Try the drop flop... While driving about 40, reach out and lift top of the wiper from the windshield about 6 inches or so and let it flop back into place. Then, try a cleaning wipe again. I just did that this morning and it worked great.

Should we have to do that? No.
Have I ever had a non-Tesla vehicle that benefitted from the same process? Yes.
Sounds reasonable but at 5'1", I'm trying to imagine how I might do that. ?

I didn't test mine a lot but thought it worked rather well through the summer. I recently got the wiper motor recall done and now it's the winter and I want to use the washer fluid more and it really works terribly. I hold the washer button down for 30 seconds or so just to get this:
Tesla Cybertruck Does everyone’s windshield wiper suck? 1737573474851-jx

(stolen from someone else in this thread, but it's exactly what I'm seeing)

I saw stuff in here about a kinked hose and reverse installed 1 way check valve. And since the service center installed my wiper in the wrong "location" (it was 1 notch over, so the wiper was in my windshield when driving and you could see daylight between the wipers park location and the edge of the window) I took everything off and checked.

Looked like it was pinched. It really wasn't.

There's the 1 way check valve. It worked. Couldn't blow through it with my mouth, but the air compressor worked.

Checked the wiper itself, water went through it and came out the dozen holes along side. The 1 way check value worked. The wiper arm hose seemed to flow water.

But still have to hold the washer button for 30-60 seconds to get a streaky mess. It really seemed better before the wiper motor recall. Scheduled service. Unfortunately 3 weeks away. Fingers crossed.

Same exact pic, it could have been taken in my truck.

Don't use your wiper on snow. The blade will come apart and scratch your windshield. Watch the end of the wiper at the passenger side. I even defrosted and made sure blade was free before using. Never happened with a gas car!

This is great info - thank you! Please keep us posted after your service appointment - any potential solutions will be greatly appreciated.

If anyone reading this has a perfectly fine and working windshield wiper, please comment. I have a theory that all of our windshield wipers are not working properly, but only the people living in areas where the weather requires a clean windshield often have noticed the issue.

I’m trying to figure out if it’s just my windshield wiper that sucks or if this is every Cybertruck. I’ve seen a couple comments from folks about the wiper and the jets that shoot wiper fluid. I live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains a lot as well as the roads are just damp and dirty. What I’ve noticed is that not only do the jets not properly spray fluid over the entire windshield, But the wiper itself doesn’t really contact the windshield near the top of the wiper. It’s acceptable for the driver even though still about 30 to 40% of the viewable area remains dirty. But the real problem is that the area that doesn’t get enough windshield wiper fluid and the wiper doesn’t fully contact the windshield smears dirt across the entire camera housing area. Making auto pilot and FSD unuseable even in perfectly acceptable weather conditions. I received my truck on Dec 23 2024 with a vin ending in 039xxx
I live in California and we get little rain...I do hate the wiper when I am in FSD mode the they do the dry wipe. When it did was used during rain, it worked well enough for me and I think it was cool to see the big wiper swoooosh across the windshield.
