Same problem here, top half of wiper doesnt contact well and leaves really bad streaks. My truck is a VIN series 43xxx, delivered in November.

Warm rain, no problem. But it's incapable of clearing the window in the winter below freezing.
Photo is after 6 or 7 squirt cycles. Look closely at the bottom and you can see the quarter inch fluid streaks. Next time I'll try to get a photo focused on the windshield rather than the trees.

Mine works great over 99% of the time although I did hit conditions in Southern Oregon where there was road grime from deicer and regular road grime getting kicked up by traffic in front after a rain shower and the sun had come out. I had a few streaks near the top of the windshield that the sprayers couldn't clean. Most of the time it's flawless.

Oh, I also had one time where an evergreen needle got caught between the blade and windshield and left a streak about an inch tall. But this happens on all cars. Sometimes it has to be cleared manually, either by pulling over if it bothers me enough or rolling down my window and grabbing the wiper as it comes towards the A-pillar and lifting it off the glass briefly to free the needle.

Wet climate with rain - works pretty good.

Dry climate - squeak, squeak, squeak. My windshield is scratched.

Snow and grit - pretty worthless.

FSD - keeps the windshield messy for the driver.

Hand cleaning the 1 square foot around the front camera helps.

If anyone reading this has a perfectly fine and working windshield wiper, please comment. I have a theory that all of our windshield wipers are not working properly, but only the people living in areas where the weather requires a clean windshield often have noticed the issue.

I’m trying to figure out if it’s just my windshield wiper that sucks or if this is every Cybertruck. I’ve seen a couple comments from folks about the wiper and the jets that shoot wiper fluid. I live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains a lot as well as the roads are just damp and dirty. What I’ve noticed is that not only do the jets not properly spray fluid over the entire windshield, But the wiper itself doesn’t really contact the windshield near the top of the wiper. It’s acceptable for the driver even though still about 30 to 40% of the viewable area remains dirty. But the real problem is that the area that doesn’t get enough windshield wiper fluid and the wiper doesn’t fully contact the windshield smears dirt across the entire camera housing area. Making auto pilot and FSD unuseable even in perfectly acceptable weather conditions. I received my truck on Dec 23 2024 with a vin ending in 039xxx
Mine blows. It certainly does not suck.

I have a service appointment coming up to address the issue of the fluid not spraying correctly onto the windshield. It leaves missed spots from the middle of the wiper up to the end. Seems like the fluid is spraying up and getting carried off in the wind.

To keep fueling the fire, mine are total garbage when there is salt on the windshield. Fine if it’s raining, but the sprayer algorithm is total trash. Could be remedied somewhat with a software update in my opinion.

I have a service appointment for round two of a tonneau cover issue plus the anemic wiper. Hopefully they will have a fix for both.

Same exact thing mine does. It seems like 0% of the liquid makes it on windshield.

This looks just like mine. Fine in the rain. Anemic spray/sprayer algorithm. Hoping this can be adjusted by an OTA update. Otherwise I think they'll inevitably have to have a hardware update. This is the only flaw on an otherwise great vehicle.

Wet winter roads + cold temps + salt spray = a deadly combination for CT windshield viz.

These conditions are absolutely the achilles heel of this wiper.

It simply doesn't work.

Doesn't spray enough fluid to clean fully.

I really wish it would spray in both directions.

Hoping for an OTA update to solve.

Fact.

More fluid seems to come out near the top above the passenger side of the windshield area, and the spray seems to just pool at the bottom of the wiper on the upswing. It doesn't spray well up towards the middle, so it never cleans that area to the passenger side.

When it’s raining the wiper works just fine..but if the windshield is dry & dirty forget it! The streaks the paltry spray leave are worse than the (uniformly dirty) windshield! Software change to spray as long as you hold the button down COULD help - the current ‘spay a tiny bit only at bottom of sweep’ method is not useful

Yes agree. They totally suck. Activate at the wrong time and never provide adequate fluid!

Mine has performed pretty poorly in it's first Nebraska/Colorado winter. Same issues as others. The sprayers either don't spray long enough or just don't work. Felt like more washer fluid ended up on my driver's side window than the front windshield. Hoping that's fixable with a software update.
