Just noticed today mine doesn’t. Our model x does. Is this something I need to download or
something?

I remember Tesla removed Disney+ a while ago when Elon had beef with Bob, but it seems like you can get it back
The Disney+ app will reappear after you log into Disney+ from the browser.

Open the browser, go the Disneyplus.com and the app pops back up, and stays. A one time weird thing you have to do. I don’t recall even needing to log in through the browser

The Disney plus app is installed in every Tesla still, but it's hidden unless your signed in already. Like others have said, if you sign in using the browser, the Disney plus app is unhidden.

So yes. It worked very easily. Thank you all for the knowledge drop.
Sneaky sneaky Elon…what next? no Tesla shop access if you have a prime account? Or maybe no navigation if you’ve ever used open AI?

I am hoping/assuming you say this in jest. If not I don't think you give Elon the credit he deserves.

Disney Plus was removed from the Theater app, so it's a special case versus a library of Easter eggs.

You can access YouTube tv and watch live tv through the YouTube app. You just have to click the setting bar in the top right and then click “subscriptions”…and then click your YouTube tv subscription and the app with convert into YouTube TV. I wish there was a dedicated YouTube TV app but @ least it’s imbedded inside the YouTube app.

No it only works for Disney because Elon got pissed often directed it that it get removed from the UI but it’s still there you just can’t select it and doing it from the browser restores it. It’s a one off deal because of a hissy fit.

This happened right after Disney and others boycotted X. It came right after he told them to f-off.

Specifics from chat:

Musk said “go fuck yourself” to boycotting advertisers on November 29, 2023, at the New York Times DealBook Summit.

Tesla pulled the Disney+ tile from Tesla Theater about three weeks later. Owners began reporting its disappearance on December 17–18, 2023.

Notes: Disney+ was not universally disabled. In many cars it could still be reached via workarounds or reappeared after use, which is why some reports called it a removal of the icon rather than a full block.
