If you're planning to park the truck for a week, I'd say fly. I made that decision back in April because I was unwilling to leave my truck unattended to be damaged by unhinged leftists in a Detroit parking lot. I drove it to Toronto, Canada about a week later to see a concert and I was nervous about leaving it unattended. The truck drove great, but again, there were many wackos (I counted at least 4) yelling and honking and giving me the finger or thumbs down. I had to be very selective about where I parked and even so I was checking sentry mode non-stop.

I am traveling to Toronto again in a month on business. I was going to take the truck again, but realized I would have to park it most of the time I was there. It's also Pride week, with a lot of demonstrations, so on top of all the Elon hate, the Trump hate, the American hate, adding that additional hate element would mean my truck would be target numero uno. The flight is also quicker, so I am just going to fly.

In your case I'd recommend flying.
Cuise liner port parking is limited access and security patrolled. If a cruise line parking lot is an issue, wouldn't an airport lot be also? In which case, they would need 3rd party transport to and from home airport also?

I've had my CT for 16 months now. Have taken it from Houston to NOLA 3 times to visit friends. One one of those trips (the first one, before the truck had FSD), I picked up a buddy and we drove on up to an area north of Nashville. The truck is probably the most comfortable vehicle I've driven on the road (I'm 68 this year). The last 2 times going to NOLA have been with FSD, and the trip was absolutely relaxing, except when we got into areas of road contruction with poor lane markings. Then I had to watch very carefully, and sometimes take control. The biggest thing is to plan your route ahead of time to know where you are going to charge (and decide how long you want to drive without a bathroom break). We stop at a place called Henry's Travel Center, that is about 20 minutes east of Lake Charles, and is pretty much the halfway point to NOLA. I have plotted a trip going from NOLA to Tampa, which would be done with 3 or 4 stops, so a long day of driving. I have found that Tesla had done Supercharger sites at a few Hampton Inn hotels, which makes the charging very easy. Using the destination chargers is a bit more effort, time-wise, unless you stay where a valet service is managing the charging for you (or you are just planning to hog the charger overnight). I did buy a plug-in ice-chest cooler for the last trip to NOLA. Kept it behind to front passenger seat on the floor. It allowed us to keep beverages (and wine we were bring to our friends) cold for the whole trip.

forgot to say I'm 78 and retired of course. finding hotel that has destination charger would be helpful. Charge to 100% while sleeping.
trying to imagine sitting in a car/truck for 10 to 12 hours just watching the road ahead even if you are not physically driving. we used to drive that long in our 20s 30s 40s. etc. but now in our 70s I dont know.
Since you have the time, I'd say drive. However, you'll have lots of time to test your driving comfort once you get your Cybertruck.
FSD + highway is super low mental and physical effort and there are tons of podcasts or music channels to listen to. Can also do things like play movies you've seen for the audio.

I’m 55. I might feel differently in 20 years, but if I’m going to travel- I’ll take CT over anything else. And if I’m in my CT, I’ll do FsD over driving even though I love to drive. It’s hard to explain but, I don’t ride well when someone else is driving. But with FSD, I’m still in charge and can drive when i want, but I can also choose to relax and think and meditate. Supervising driving is second nature now.
That's my experience also. FSD is like I'm driving, but without moving my muscles.

thinking about a trip to a Florida cruise terminal from Houston next winter and I keep hearing about how this truck is so great on road trips. in consideration of the hassle of driving 60 miles to airport, parking, shuttle, TSA, wait for the plane. then upon arrival get luggage find transportation. And now consideration of how unreliable flying is. would ya'll consider just having the CT drive you instead. I'm thinking FSD on the CT will be much better by then. I don't have a CT yet. Last road trip in my Y (hardware 3) was so incredibly easy on a 230 mile trip no stops. no interventions what so ever.
I have had my CT for about 8 mon 8k miles, driven 80-85% on Supervised FSD. drive 500 miles on trips from New Orleans to ATL with NO interventions. It makes the drive very relaxing (somewhat boring). Now, don’t expect to be doing ā€œanythingā€ other than watching the road ahead of you. I can’t wait (not much longe, I hope) for Full FSD, so I can watch a movie or take a nap.

We just got back from a 285 mile / 580 mile round trip vacation up in Acadia National Park. FSD drove us the entire way and every day as we were driving around Mt Desert Island to go hiking, etc. it was absolutely fantastic. The 5 hr drive doesn’t feel taxing at all thanks to FSD.

Recently returned from a 10000 mile shakedown cruise with my FSCB. Drove from Houston to Ft Myers. Then to NJ, To Tennessee for the Chattanooga Charge, then returned to Houston. We did it in three months at a retiree’s pace. During the Houston/Florida leg we overnighted in Biloxi Ms. Some of the casinos offer free charging. All the better if you overnite there. You say you are going to Florida but I don’t recall where in Fla. Tampa, Miami, Ft Lauderdale and Key West, all have cruise ship ports. I had no issues using FSD for the majority of the trip. Just use your navigation and believe the screen when need to recharge. Galveston is a hell of a lot closer for cruises but they don’t always go where you may be going to this time. If you have time, take the truck. If you don’t have the time, fly.

How did that take 10,000 miles? I get 4k via Google Maps. Or was 10k the start or end odometer?

I will not fly. Too many horror stories of crazy people on flights that I would not be able to deal with, not to mention delays, trapped on a runway with those crazy people...I drive. Drove 2+million miles in my lifetime, now I am trying to get to 3.

Stayed at a place (Seawall Motel and Suite) that had three EV chargers (2 Tesla, 1 Clipper Creek) so had no issues.

I did notice a couple of municipal parking lots with EV chargers in Bar Harbor. But would recommend looking on Plugshare too.

All I know is I left Houston Mid December with less than 1000 miles on the clock. We returned 3 months later at the beginning of April with almost 11000 miles on the clock. There were several trips up and down the e coasts of Fla during the month we were there.
A few side trips along the way in the various states we drove thru. I really wasn’t paying attention to the miles. We were just enjoying driving the truck or it driving us.
Anyone still on the fence about buying one, don’t wait to get one. Get whatever model you can afford. DO IT NOW!

No problem!

If you end up staying there, the owner and the manager were super interested in the Cybertruck. I spent about an hour in total answering their questions, showing them the truck, etc. good stuff!

I drive central Florida to Canada and back on average once a month - 3,000 miles return. 2 days, 15 hours per day. 6 Supercharges per day. I have done it many times in a Model X, a Model S, and for the past year in a Cybertruck. I have also driven it in a Chevy Silverado and 2 new variants of Range Rovers. The Cybertruck (AWD) is hands down the best. By far. The combination of the interior space, FSD, ride comfort is unrivaled. I could fly in 3 hours and rent a car when I'm in Canada, but that turns into a full travel day anyway, so I'm really just adding another day onto the trip (each way). Plus, driving a Cybertruck around in Canadastan makes the local Soviets' hair burst into flames. (Yes, I am Canadian so I'm allowed to tell these jokes. Well, to be clear, humor is now banned in Canada, but one can still get away with it on the internet. For now.)
