Has anyone taken their truck through a drive-through car wash? If so, any good/bad/ugly experiences?

I’ve taken mine three times. To a regular wash. With brushes and all.
Did the basic wash so I don’t get go wax or residue stuff.
Has been great. Had to wipe off excess water drips with a microfiber. But no issues.
Looks as good as new.

I've used a drive-in (not drive-thru) car wash, where you remain immobile and the equipment moves around you. There are touchless varieties, but I braved the spinning-brushes-of-death with good results.

Not worth the tons of micro scratches

Collectors can leave it shrink-wrapped in the box, but I'd rather play with my toys

Everything is bigger in Texas ?‍♂
This is kind of where I am. Absent major scratches, the minor ones bother me less. Let’s be real, I’m not taking it that often to a car wash. And if for whatever reason it does get scratched, a cottage industry of CT buffing will appear.

After all, I got very comfortable taking my M3 through the car wash for the past 5.5 years. And the stainless should be stronger/more durable.

I think the basic touchless wash will be my go-to. That and a little pressure wash in the driveway at home. Not planning on really soaping it myself ever, just high pressure water

Went through Quick Quack (automated, brush style wash) and only problem I had was making sure the wheels are straight before they send you through because the steering won't adjust when bumping the rails

It's "pollen season" here in Central Texas, I've gone 3 times already

Oh, I get it! After seeing how easy the pressure washer was on it, I think I’m just going to hit it with that in the future.

What I’m struggling to understand from some of these threads is the need to follow BKF with something other than a windex wipe down. I don’t understand the neutralizing issue/need.

Glad to hear that cleaning the truck doesn't take 3 hours with BKF. Quick drive through carwash for the win.

The best part about still waiting for my Vin is the fact that I get to educate myself on current ST owners. I love it!

That said, based on what I'm reading the threads, I'll go touches or wash it myself whenever I get my CT that is. lol.

I got hit on the side of my suv by a ripped out rear wiper blade caught up in the brushes of the vehicle before me.
They now tape down the rear wiper blades..

I've gone dozens and dozens of times with no noticeable scratches other that that wiper incident.
