Had the same issue with the passenger door.

One of the software updates glitched our cameras and gps. I put in a service ticket for several issues.
I turned off sentry mode and let the truck sit for the weekend. By Monday, the software glitched was fixed and the handle started working.

So….either Tesla did some remote software work or just letting it sit for two days reset everything.

I have had that issue with Driver's side door since I got it a few weeks ago. 50% of the time the drivers door will not unlock and open. Most of the time I have to open the back door first and then the drivers door will light up and I can open it. There's been twice that I've had to go through passenger door. Service department has been waiting on a part. Looks like June is when they will get me in.

First thing I do when I experience unusual problems is reboot the computer.

On my door switch issue, I noticed that it became more problematic later in the day. I hypothesized that it was related to temperature.

Tesla service replaced the switch. That resolved the issue.

I had no problem with the light. All doors were sensing that I was nearby. Tesla replaced the switch; issue resolved.

I’ll bet that they have or can get the part. Jacksonville is handing out appointments 45 days from now because Musk fired service technicians.
Hope you can get it fixed sooner rather than later.

Over the past week the external switch to open the driver door has become intermittent. I’d have to press the switch multiple times to open the door. It has become progressively worse. Tonight I questioned whether I would be able to open the door. On several occasions I would have to press the switch a dozen times before the door would open. I requested mobile service to fix the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?
This is happening to mine as well.
