Agreed, this pisses me off. I can do this with existing equipment.

This has been a great thread!
As a Day 1, Hour 1, minute (roughly 30), Middle-class man. I have been excited since I put that pre-order in, that Tesla/Elon figured out how to do a Model T again. A car for the people.

Yesterday hurt. Yes, I saw all the media about how the price would go up, and to be honest, the price increase makes sense to me, I get it. Hard to make the product, ect.
but I still held in my heart that they would honor the few and the brave who put their support into the product before anyone else.
Elon stated he was making a product to accelerate the transition to EV. but he just priced out the middle class, who held hope on this forum, and told all of their "ICE" truck friends that they were about to be out-shown.
I won't cancel my pre-order until the order page is live for me, but my confidence has been hit.

-yes I am complaining. :)

Pricing for the AWD is as expected. Sure, less would be better, but the AWD CT is a lot more vehicle than the X for the same money. If we can rent the extender for a couple of weeks per year...wow! Ideal.

I hope we (the ones who paid $100) and have had an order # for 4 years, don't need to get into this new queue for $250... right? They'll just let us choose one of these new options and keep our spot in line?
Thats what I was wondering, if we pre-ordered the base version, does that mean we still have to wait till 2025???

And, yeah, Elon needs to hire a truck guy. How many times during yesterday's event did the Cybertruck get referred to as a "car?"

It ain't a car.

And, however otherwise great the CT turns out to be - and I certainly expect it to be - the Rube Goldberg use-a-big-chunk-of-the-bed for an (optional!) spare tire and extended-range battery pack were both fails.

It's obvious there wasn't a truck guy anywhere within shouting distance of the design team.

Man i hope there are a lot of cancellations. I'll just get the dual now, not the tri lol. Shit's pricey!
I just cancelled mine. The truck is no where near what they promised, price is too high, and Rivian R1T is way better for my adventure lifestyle. Since they are the same price, I am going Rivian. Plus that reveal event was just embarrassing. Complete let down.

Phone is wireless, tools and such are your 120/240 outlets.

They had a Miller XMT 350 welder stick welding 1/4" plate during the show using 7014 rod plugged Into the 50 amp outlet.

Digging the power potential both in the field and at home for emergencies, just not digging the new price. Bed is small for my business and accessing the sunken storage is off limits once a pack rat is installed.

It states there's wireless charging in the bed. That's what I was asking, where?

No way they produce 250k/yr at these prices. I 100% expect a HUGE price drop within a year.
They don’t have to. Attrition will take 50% off the list by the time their number comes up. Reasons don’t matter, it’s just life. I’m at 150,000 but I’m planning for 75,000.
