Drivers seat falling apart

the front fastener for the drivers seat came off, day 1!
installation issue or did it need another fastener?

I can't seem to easily fix it.. suggestions?

There’s a bracket under the seat where that U channel clips into. Fairly simple and pretty much standard process in every car seat.

Not necessarily… I had this same exact issue years ago with my 2019 MX back seats. I put it back in place a million times but any weight on the seat would cause it to come right back out. Tesla service ended up screwing it in, I think a service bulletin had just come out for that.

Love my X and can’t wait for my cybertruck but it’s embarrassing that Tesla is still having quality issues at this level.

We had same problem in our 2018 MX, never could get them to stay clipped underneath the back, in the rear passenger footwells. I always blamed my kids for being ruthless with their feet ?‍

I wonder if a tool is used when that part is clipped in the factory? I would ask service to re-clip it for you…maybe they have the right tool for the job?

I had the same problem with one of my non Tesla vehicles, I used thin double sided tape and never came loose again. Simple issue to fix.

This happened on my F150, every time I thought I had it it would happen again. My cybertruck is fine after 1 month.

alright, well, I got it fixed easy enough just had to slowly work it from one side. hope it doesn't come off a lot!

I had the same exact thing happen on my Mercedes, and they had to order a new entire bottom part of the seat to replace it. I couldn't reach back in there and do it myself.

Took delivery yesterday and same issue. Did it stay in place for you?
