She reminded me of the snotty lady at Cyber Rodeo that tried to get everyone to look at the truck on the stand instead of the one they were driving around in front of everyone.
She probably just wanted to get everyone away from the truck they were moving so nobody put fingerprints on it. There were some guys walking around looking all militant with cleaning products as well. :ROFLMAO: They were spit-polishing it for Muskā€™s on stage show I think.

Imagine if they were told ā€œweā€™re updating JT tonight guysā€

So they spent 2 hrs cleaning it perfect, just to drive it across the stageā€¦

I wouldnā€™t be surprised. I donā€™t think there were many in the know then. Maybe they do. Idk. It would be neat to know the ins on how people donā€™t spill beans

6 of those won't fit in a Rivian R1T or Ford Lightning EV. Yet the critics say that Cybertruck won't be a work truck.
Mic. Drop.

Again I say

Cybertruck bed is wider than R1T is long

CT has been engineered by a woman. !!

Has to be an Italian espresso machine in there somewhere.

No, I was truly curious since you listed accessories and easy modding as an advantage of the Ford and I was wondering what kinds of things I might be missing with a Cybertruck that I could have on a lightning. I'm sure there must be something but considering I haven't needed to anything to my current F-150 in the previous 13 years maybe it's nothing i would want or benefit from.

On my F-1508 I did change out the new tires (OEM tires sucked at everything except for I'm sure Ford got them for a song), shock absorbers (OEM shocks sucked after 20K miles), and I had to put a thin piece of closed cell foam in front of the radiator during winter to encourage the V-8 to warm up more quickly while driving off on a cold morning. And it doesn't even get that cold here unless I take it into the mountains.

Basically, I try to buy the vehicle that meets or exceeds my needs so hopefully, I don't need to do extensive modding. I don't understand people who buy a vehicle that has, for example, weak power, and then spend a bunch of money giving it a bit more, but never as much power as if they had simply bought a more powerful engine or vehicle to begin with, and often far more money than if they had just bought the right engine to begin with.

I still need to hard-wire my radar detector into my Performance Model 3 so it doesn't have to plug into the console 12V power outlet but I don't think I'll get around to it ever because what I have works pretty well.

Maybe my needs just happen to align with the average person so I don't need to modify stuff very often? I do think there will be plenty of Cybertruck accessories in time and the narrative that the Cybertruck doesn't have a lot of accessories available is mostly someone trying really hard to think up reasons why a Cybertruck sucks or is not as good as a Dodge or whatever.
I have seen people put raptor suspension on Lightning but I donā€™t do anything crazy with my truck and any modifications will be minor like lowering or muting the beeps of Frunk opening sound. Or modifying some settings by Forscan.

I agree that it is all about the best fit for use case and individual need. The difficult thing for a lot of us is admitting how we really use a vehicle (How often doing what). There is always a trade off. My old truck had 140 hp. When I pushed the gas, nothing happened except extra noise but it was easier to maneuver, and load yard trash in from the side due to itā€™s smaller size and hight. CTā€™s side may pose issues for loading stuff from side and I am very curious if Tesla already has a solution for loading stuff like Kayak on top (I would be surprised if they donā€™t) but if they donā€™t for someone that take their bike off road and never go kayaking, that ramp alone is worth any other inconvenience. Heck for anyone that loads anything it makes CT pretty attractive.

As far as Lightning goes, although I love the size of the back seat, over all size is somewhat of a compromise for me due to the fact that my wife refuses to drive it (that means I canā€™t take her car on solo long distance trips) but the 9.6 KW power makes it worth the compromise since we had a bad power outage this winter. My biggest worry about Lightning is software. I think Ford software team is alarmingly subpar. I canā€™t roll back OTAs if they screw anything up and I will be at their mercy for a fix that is usually not quick. Have to keep my fingers crossed there otherwise OK so far.

I am sure CT will be much more capable in many ways but the one that matters to me the most is a lot less stressful long distance travel that does not make me dependent on an ICE or various iffy charging networks. Really curious about actual range/price of CT and actual charging speed in real world situations. Those probably will be the biggest factors that make me trade in. I definitely like look of CT more especially since the mirror seem to be removable. I am hoping there is some sort of solution for the wiper too to get the look as close as they can to the original.

One could argue:

Cybertruck range right now is āˆž miles. Its cargo capacity is āˆž pounds.

There's a fine line between 0 and āˆž.
And yes, the Cybertruck does have such fine lines.

Itā€™s ok I understand, itā€™s reasonable to defend your Reservation of the door stopper, I have one too.

I mean the Pontiac Aztec sold in bunches, no reason this one shouldnā€™t sell also.
The Aztec sold 15,000 per year on average over it's 8-year run.

So yeah, sure. "Bunches"

I can't imagine the front of my new Cybertruck falling off with all the Lithium spilling over the road under intense pressure. I hate it went that happens... It would for sure immediately melt the ice and snow in -30C weather.

You will not encounter any front falling off issues so long as you do not drive it out of the environment.

I'm just hoping there will be some charging stations outside of the environment. I'd hate to get stuck out there with a dead battery.

There is nothing out there. All there is is wilderness, birds, and wild animals. And 20,000 tons of crude oil. And a fire. And the part of the truck that the front fell off. But thereā€™s nothing else out there.

Better the front than the battery. Or was the ETron in itā€™s element?
