This is why the design can't be changed. Brilliant analysis. This is a masterpiece of auto engineering and people who criticize the Cybertruck didn't realized that,
“Didn’t realize that”.
That quote sums it all up. People generally have zero clue about what they see, much less how they see.
I did, no clue, and knee jerk reaction was unfavorable. ( my entry CONVERTED)
The truth is CT gives me daily surprises and realizations of just how cool this truck truly is. ... well... badass doesn’t do justice.

Not sure the geometry in the model matches the actual design very accurately. Lots of subtle angles missing. There is not a lot of info how the panels are fastened together, so not sure how that is being modeled. Some things like the sail doors that open are not modeled. Nor are the gaps in the bed for the lighting, etc. And the cab area in the tesla rendering has more conventional folding and curved contours than the model incorporates.

In my opinion, they only thing "forcing" the shape are aerodynamic concerns. Consider that conventional trucks achieve plenty good enough structural strength with C and Box beams with only 3mm wall thickness and 6" major dimensions.

They cannot hit the range v price point without good aero efficiency. Thus the need for the sloped back and cover.

If changes should be done, Tesla Engineering team will decide, and I good with that. I don't really for other design opinions other than Tesla original design.

The design elements, posited above, if present seem excellent. However, the CT is far from street legal yet. Im looking forward to the first production ready version to present tweaks that make it so!

But will this brilliant structure be able to mount a snowplow?

What makes it far from street legal? The concerns that have been brought up in the media are rather assumptive.

#1 Side mirrors. Law makers are already in the process of determining if being replaced with cameras and technology will not just be acceptable but in many ways beneficial.

#2 crumple zone. Even if they use the same type of steel as the rest of the body the frunk still acts as a rather capable crumple zone with no engine in there.

#3. Headlight(s). On stage the single bar was used fully lit but out in public it seems that the center section is dimmed while driving and if need be light tech is already more than capable of only lighting up the sections that are allowed unless offroad.

any other concerns?

Hello, I have been asking Elon Musk to make a cyber VAN version of the cyber truck. It appears that this exoskeleton would pose challenges.
