Factory Delivery?

Just wondering if Tesla would do a factory delivery process at Austin, like Chevy does with the Corvette in Bowling Green. That would be cool to get a factory tour then take possession of your Cybertruck,

It is my opinion that his will be the only option for some time.. But being the only option, you might have to ask really nice for that tour..

The first deliveries might be delivered to the customer for publicity, but if you want an early reservation truck im pretty sure you will have to go get it. I may be wrong, but i might just go get it anyway to save any destination fees..

Tesla has done this in the past, but has not since the pandemic. They do not currently have a finished storefront at the factory, nor a public-facing building there yet.

Factory tours are on the list of perks from referral codes, but I haven't heard of anyone redeeming one yet.

Of course, the delivery day deliveries will probably be there, but no one has admitted to getting an invite, either.

Delivery fee will still be charged when you pick it up at the factory. We toured the Fremont factory and that has always been the case.

Chevy has it as an option, when you build and order a Corvette. Just thinking that it could provide them some advertising and maybe move some regional deposit holders up in line. Personally I’m not worried about delivery fees and minor costs like that.

Texas State Laws, created by Texas Car Dealers for their protection, makes it hard For an out of state customer to take Texas delivery.

Texas State Law doesn't seem to have any say on cars being delivered, just sales people and paperwork.

If a person has their purchase paperwork taken care of out of state, and it's just a delivery, it's okay.

Funny, I was living in Arkansas and took delivery of my Model 3 in Dallas with no issues that I’m aware. I don’t think there’s a warrant or anything as I’ve subsequently moved to Texas and got my DL and truck license no problem.

Any insights into how one may formally request to tour the Gigafactory and possibly pick up the CB? I know BMW, Porsche etc offer tours if you choose a European delivery and ship the car. Given the unique vehicle, and the very intrigue in purchasing such at its price point, I would be very grateful for the opportunity to thank those at the factory for their efforts and collective genius in making this dream vehicle come true. Thank you for any insights and or suggestions to get this request to those who could convey it best to Tesla et al. Cheers
