Just read this LOL.
Hopefully these nincompoops finally start feeling the consequences of their actions.
Pathetic the "adult" parent still trying to get them get off without any punishment.

Probably not a real post, but I hope she gets the maximum sentence for willful destruction of property. We have a crime problem in this country, and the direct reason is because we aren't actually enforcing the law.
That is certainly part of it, but I have witnessed first hand, over and over again, how parents are not raising their children with any sense of social responsibility or accountability. This plea, real or not, is certainly evidence of people thinking that they shouldn't be held accountable for their actions. I say lock the woman AND the daughter up since the mother clearly ignored her civic responsibilities.

The way you "get out of it" is to show contrition, pay restitution, and spend the summer cleaning up roadside trash. That should get it knocked down to a misdemeanor.

Yes it was dumb, but it's not productive to brand an 18-year-old with a felony conviction that groups her in for life with murderers and drug lords. Teens should be able to learn from their mistakes, when I was 18 I was stupid AF. Lucky for me there were fewer cameras back then hahahaha
I agree with your first paragraph. Regarding the second paragraph, I too did stupid things as a teenager but I got caught and the penalties were not as severe. I disagree about teens not being held accountable. Parents and society are dropping the ball on teaching kids what is right and what is wrong. Why is it that some portion of the country believes that they are in the moral/ethical right and then we hear about things like this every single day. My parents caught and punished me and so society didn't have to step in. Much preferred but if that doesn't happen, too friggen bad for them.

I agree with this. We have all done things when we were young that were stupid. I don't think a persons entire life should be ruined for spray painting a car.

I have done stupid things when I was younger that make me cringe now.

But I do think that the parents need to be more concerned with their kids and not trying to get them out of everything. Start with trying to teach them that doing these kinds of things are dumb and can get you in serious trouble.

How about a summer of polishing Cybertrucks for new customers. :giggle: I want to see zero fingerprints.

Earlier today

I was thinking of this today while reading the original post. If I recall correctly Trump said something along the lines of wanting to pass a law making activities against Tesla dealerships an act of domestic terrorism.
