Have you guys driven an S-Class? Tech, old-fashion ... don't want to change: Not sure how can I still working in IT in the last 35 years ...

I didn't need 5 minutes to rewire my brain, less than a second to know how to drive. Hint: "hypermile"
Yes, I also have a 2021 Model S LR. ?

That's a pain. Worse than a clutch. You're always on, so it's exhausting.
Holding a muscle group steady is something that athletic people never think about, but the rest of us do.
I found it difficult to manage throttle/regen on a Model 3, but the Cybertruck's floor-mounted pedal is much easier to control IMHO.

P.S. I'm not what one would call "athletic"

FYI: I have an iPhoneSE (basically iPhone8) with no case, and my SO has the latest iPhone15 with a case. Both charge poorly and get very hot. ?‍♂
My spouse has the little iPhone5/last iPod sized SE, too! And I have a Pixel.

I'd expect them to charge hot, Apple seems to be okay with that x-x;

My iphone is the 15 pro max and when I put it on the charger it takes about 10 minutes before it says charging will continue when it cools down. I need to try without the case on it.

The 5 doesn't. It was replaced by the first SE, which was replaced by another SE, which has since been superseded, but that last SE before the superseding is still getting updates.

They all had the same physical form factor because it matched the scanner-printer they used at Apple stores for a couple decades.

I hate the one-pedal driving. But it's a thing some people like. It makes me motion-sick. I keep hoping for blended braking instead.

-Crissa
Just keep the truck at 100% soc and select the blended braking setting :)

You just need to slowly reduce the pressure on the pedal for a smooth slow down. I drive without shoes and I use my toes to drive. Kind of like I'm trying to step on an egg and not break it. I relax my toes to slow down. I hardly pull any Gs when I drive so this is why I hate FSD so much (or even other ppl who drives me around. They are so rough on the pedals).

That's exactly what I don't like about it. You have to be using your foot all the time. I hate it. I need to relax. I can't hold it so exactly.

Yeah, you don't think. Got it.

Holding a muscle group steady is something that athletic people never think about, but the rest of us do.
I felt a little fatigue in my lower leg muscles, not from controlling regen with the throttle, but from hovering over the accelerator while in FSD Mode. But that only lasted a couple of months, six years later, I haven't had a problem. I'm over 60 years old. Your leg muscles will adapt to what you ask of them.

However, that was hovering over the pedal, without resting it on the pedal. If you think about it, controlling regen with the accelerator is not any different from holding the pedal steady to cruise at a constant speed on the highway. In other words, it's much easier than hovering over the pedal. I'm sure you'll adapt, and wonder why you ever thought it was not ideal.

I know why it's not ideal.

The pedal has n steps of accuracy to describe speed.

If you have 0 power, 0 regen at the top of the pedal, and 100 units power at fully depressed. If you have 50 steps of accuracy, that means that each wobble of your foot slipping one step of accuracy is going to go up or down two units of power.

Now that you add regen to the pedal. Fully depressed is still 100% power but now fully released isn't 0, it's 100% regen.

But your pedal still has only 50 steps accuracy. So now each wobble of your foot steps up or down 4 units of power, instead of 2.

And if you need to stretch your foot, instead of coasting, you're slamming on your regen.

It's a pain. At least creep is optional. Cars shouldn't creep.

You don't need Google, just keep scrolling on this forum. Iphone gets crazy hot in about 5mins on the wireless charger, in a bunch of review videos and ask anyone who has put their phone on the wireless charger. Bakes them.
Update 2024.8.8 seemed to fix/help this issue. My iPhone was doing the same thing. It would get really hot and barely charge. Now it seems to charge and not get hot. I don’t have any proof of this except that before, even a few minutes of charging would bake my phone. Since the update, It has not gotten as hot even once.
