Stains on rocker panels.
I don't think that's petty at all. It looks like someone sprayed a strong caustic on the door panels and it ran down over the plastic rocker panel trim and damaged it.

When I was looking at mine I was wondering if those would come off. They told me they couldn't fix the scratch. I've seen someone else here post, they had theirs fixed but the picture looked like it was still there. Pics of my delivery.
I didn’t notice the stains till I got home, but noted it and took pics.

Again, not a worry for me as these things can be remedied thanks to the warranty, but worth noting for others that have never owned a Tesla, always do a through inspection, bring a checklist at delivery if that helps, and take photos for proof when doing your claim.

All these reports of cosmetic issues at delivery seem unacceptable to me. Ive never heard of any other car dealerships handing out imperfect new cars. Kinda worried. One guy in CA posted saying he had them buff out a scratch and remove rail dust before he took it home. Seems smart to make them address any issues before take home, lest Tesla takes advantage of our eagerness to get the CT and ignore issues.
Which is why I am now okay waiting a bit longer until my number is called (not that I have a choice)

No. I’m talking about dealerships reconciling any cosmetic issues prior to handover. That’s it.
I had a paint issue and a couple other relatively minor issues when I received my M3. I was offered a credit or they would repaint the area that was a problem. I gladly took the credit and 6 years later I can’t even remember where the paint spots were because wear and tear has far “outshined” the little blemishes.

my point isn’t that I took the right path, but service centers are authorized to give a credit if there’s something legit that is a problem. Tesla has been a very good experience. Perfect? Depends on how you define a perfect experience. To each his own.

Rocker panel is one of the first things you see due to the contrast. And no matter how hard this person may clean their vehicle those stains will never come out (according to the reports above) so they have every right to request this. Especially before Tesla tries to deem this as something the customer may have done
But what ARE they? Stains due to water runoff? Seems like it will be prone to that????? Or something nasty around the GF that is getting in there with water?

This is the norm.. warranty is great so all covered
Yup, not like the good ol' days when there were less than 10000 of us Tesla owners. My 2013 MS went thru a 2 hour white glove presentation when I took delivery. Now it's premium price with a !@#$load of things that will be delivered... someday. And take delivery with the flaws that will be fixed...someday.
