Which tabs broke? The rear two are tricky because you need to insert the slots in at an angle and then swing it up to the windshield, but I haven't had any issues with the forward two.
Front two snapped on insertion. One back tab separated.
2nd new attempt I went super duper slow and it was all fine. Feel like the original glare shield was hyper brittle. Newer one was a bit better. 17700 VIN

The new one did go in easier, I thought it was just practice...

Just cleaned mine and broke both the front tabs trying to push them in to release the shield. 34k VIN. I taped it in place with black electrical tape for now. Ordering a new shield.

Bummer noticed condensation in front camera housing few weeks ago with screen warning of diminished visibility. Now that it’s dried it’s hazy in both corners (CAM) and now pop up warning is on screen all the time. Guess will take it in. Don’t want to break the housing accidentally. The price of ownership/FSD.

Do you have a part number for the cover? Want to keep one as a spare.

Used two plastic spatulas to hold open enough to use credit card and silk sock to clean just enough. Will have to see, as the service warning ⚠ is still lit up.

Computer might reset after next drive.

It's true, you can mostly clean the glass with a microfiber on a thin device like a card (or, a spatula hahaha). It's efficient, but not as thorough, and doesn't allow cleaning of the lenses.

Yep will have to take it in, +80 miles, was attempting to save a mini road trip on work day, as out nearest service center is closed on Saturday's🧐.

Take care.

You could probably do a better job of cleaning it yourself. Service Center quality is always a crapshoot.

They're just as likely to break something as you, but I guess the replacement will come out of their pockets lol. Glare Shield is thirty bucks.
