Odd. I had a rock get into my window and rattle around in the door. Service center actually fixed that!

My m3P would do that on specific roads at specific speeds. Like one of those pesky clips broke off in building. It’s likely within spec but off just make service center do it.

I had this issue, noise coming from under the steering cover. Temp fix:

1) (not kidding) give cover few spanks, noise goes away for a while.

2) l(long term) Tesla service center put insulation inside to stop the noise completely.

Update: after two months of waiting, finally got it to the service center. Truck ? was in shop for 5 days, and they had all sorts of fun with it. Service rep called before picking up joked about that my car didn’t want to leave the shop ?

1. when tech tried to find the rattle squeak, he accidentally cut the airbag hardwire harness (he said it was too close and too packed in the limited space, I already mentally prepared that they are going to break some stuff since the learning curve for such a new line of products) anyhow turned out it was caused by some loose clips - yes plural not just one - and the official technician note after fix: Insulated dash area for NVH concern - whatever NVH stands for.. lol - p.s. YES they did have to go to Scottsdale SC to get a brand new airbag harness kit to replace the accidental cut wire so yup a $10 job of replacing new clips turned out to be a $800 airbag part replacement - it's a TESLA thing.

2. They did replace the windshield wiper motor assembly. However my old motor worked just fine (must be the lucky 95% lol) problem is: for whatever the sake of the life they couldn't make the wiper stay vertical position, it keeps stay in the horizontal position, so guess what happened - yup they ended up replacing another whole entire motor assembly - and it "worked"! It's a TESLA thing, we don't fix parts, we just replace them..

3. the new hub covers they installed is legit: don't listen to the posts on the forums, they do look nice in person. also has a nice gap in-between them and the actual tires so it won't rub on the rubber sidewall.. it does look like a Mars rover with the hub covers on for sure.. and they only charged $65 to rotate the tires. - got to love the Tesla SC model: they only charge fixed price for itemized parts and labor - not a profit making model - unlike the Legacy auto SC, every time you go in, you feel like you are getting rear rammed in your a**, only choice you have is how fast and how long. The flip side of that is Tesla SC reps are definitely not there to make a commission, so they work on their own pace and timeline. There is no pressure, it's almost comical to watch their interaction with customers. Some reps feel like they work for Disneyland, super happy and super helping customers, some reps are just telling customers what the Tesla way service way is and if customers not used to the tesla pace and way... they got frustrated.. (the things you can't get away with legacy auto makers) anyhow pick your poison, I rather deal with Tesla the honest but slow way than getting ripped off by some other legacy dealerships charging 90% of their overhead profit margins through SC. - I am sick and tired of paying $450 oil changes, $250 cabin air filters and $7000 to replace your radiator (and you can look into their eyes and knowing they are lying to you..) yup you have a six sense when someone is making a commission out of you.. and the dishonesty knowing that 90% of the time they are upselling and cross selling you..

Thank you Elon for making TESLA the honest way! I know the Tesla SC reps are not making a commission out of me.. so I am cool dealing with honesty than being lied to, ripped off and taken advantage of..

Amen to that. The legacy dealership service center model sucks.

Update: so the noise came back one week after they fixed it. Not the same loose clip vibration but the whole entire panel rattles. Went in sc, just walked in no appt and service rep asked me to come back later since they are all booked that day and the service technician who worked on my truck gave final notice and it was his last day… I was just about SOL, the tech spotted me and say okay let’s do a test drive. During the drive he basically bragged to me that he stripped my truck to the bare bones and the whole shop was watching him doing that ? I am sure my car was a fresh specimen for them to study the Guinea pig ? and that he basically put in all marine tapes to insulate any gaps and holes possible so my truck now is the “quietest“ cybertruck out there, as for the clips he had to put in all new ones since they are only one time use once you break them off it’s no good, so I was happy and thinking I was just tripping and thanked him and went home on my merry way. But one month later here we are I have now new vibrations going on and see video attached… I am going in on January 31 for another look. Oh and also my oblique recall side panel was crooked and it leaked water like a Niagara Falls during car wash. So going back for that as well.
