I got my cargo net installed. I thinking about spray painting the bolts to black. Other than that, it is a quality product from Tesla for $80.

probably should be a standard accessory for foundation series owners.

Just received my new "Front Trunk L-Track + Cargo Net" accessory from Tesla. Looks good ? and will keep my stuff secure and prevent sliding around. Will install this weekend.

Installing the "Front Trunk L-Track and Cargo Net" is a simple 10 minute job. You will need a flat-head screw driver and a 10mm socket wrench.

First, pry up the plastic covers covering the mounting bolts inside the frunk. These covers are extremely easy to pop out and if your finger nails are long enough, you probably don't even need a flat-head to pop it up.

Once you have the cover off the two 10mm bolts are cleared to install the "L-Track" frame.

Remove the bolts from beneath the frunk covers using your 10mm socket.

Replace the plastic covers with the aluminum "L-Track" mounting system. The mounts are "left/right" specific, so, be sure to match the correct side "L-Track" mount to the frunk.

After bolting in your "L-Track" mounting brackets attach the "Cargo net" by pushing in the plungers and snapping in. Be sure your plungers are turned vertically so that the mounting plate secures to the track. The Cargo Net itself is very stretch and durable. High quality as you would expect for $80 with the CyberTruck logo on the front.

With my new Cargo Net installed I question Tesla's commitment to CyberCool as the bolts are now uncovered giving the Frunk an "unfinished" appearance. Come on Tesla? A super great design with high quality materials and you go cheap on some plastic bolt covers? My OCD is gonna demand some kind of remedy and definitely a complaint to Tesla regarding this aesthetic faux pas.

So, is it worth $80? Yes! High quality CyberTruck accessory that will secure my gym bag, groceries, and other items in the frunk. Plus, it looks bad ass. Just don't stare too long at those shiny bolt heads staring back at you!
Thanks for the information.
I want something to keep things from moving around in the frunk too.
I’m uncertain how long the stretch in that net will hold up stored in the “front oven”
I’m wondering how to install a couple of D rings and use cheaply replaceable bungee cords?

It is very high quality. But, I understand your concerns.

Guy here in Tuscaloosa got his Beast Wednesday. Saw it yesterday. You got to be super close now!
Hey @BengalBoy , 2 questions.
1) How's your truck did everything get worked out and is it fixed up?
2) Did you ever replace the 4 bolts and washers? If so can you share the specs of the bolt please.

And a statement. I'm picking up my Beast either tomorrow or Thursday!!!

Hey Man! Have you got your Beast?

1. Dropped off at Tesla Collision ? Center Last Wednesday. Repair underway. Sure miss OO7.

2. Have not replaced bolts. Did point out to Tesla Collision that bolt covers need to be created for the accessory to clean up the look. Bolts are 10mm and are the CyberTruck"s frunk mounts. You see them when you remove the plastic covers that clip over them. Black paint or some powder coated bolts and washers would definitely look cleaner. Still will have the holes showing though. Functionality of the net for securing stuff certainly outweighs the unfinished look. A nice accessory for your Beast.

Here's the covers I made. It turns out the bolts aren't necessarily in the center of the hole in the plastic, and I had to clip them so the net connectors could use that closest attachment point.

They are also different depths. Mine kinda snap in and there's a slot to stick a screwdriver in should you want to pop them out.

I used petg for mine.
