Anyone know how to adjust the frunk lid closure height? I adjusted the 4 stops, but the the motor just pulls the lid down harder and closes to the same height as before the adjustment. I can hear the motor pulling harder so I put the bumpers back the way they were. I don't see anything in service mode or in the service manual.

Pull them out and rotate them. Then they should stay. I got my hood perfect and they stay.

Tesla service replaced my frunk hood a couple of weeks ago and it was not set to the correct height on one side. One side was higher than the other. I have a service appointment Tuesday to align it correctly.

I did that. And once the latching motor grabbed the hood I could hear it straining to pull the hood down the the og position. Sounded like it might damage the motor if I left it that way so I put the bumpers back down.

Did you ever figure this out?

I've noticed the closing motor has to learn the new position after making adjustments to the bump stops. Just open and close it a few times.

I know this is an old thread but I was looking for this information for myself and found this thread. The latch itself can be adjusted.

I’m not a Tesla employee or mechanic, just a DIY guy, so do this at your own risk.

That being said, it’s very straightforward. Remove the frunk (watch a YouTube video), and the latch has slots for two 10mm bolts. I marked mine before loosening the bolts to note the original position in case I made it worse. Note it can move left and right in addition to up and down.

Moved mine up about 1/8” and it now doesn’t strain to close with some of the bump stops extended nearly all the way.

Fair warning, the top trim piece above the frunk is not the easiest to reinstall. Pay attention to how the rubber seals at the windshield front edge interact with it and the wiper motor cover.

Also, keep in mind the front quarter panels are designed to ride slightly higher than the hood surface. This is really nice when beating through heavy brush because it uses the super tough edges of the front quarter panels to guide the branches up and over the windshield without leaving marks.

Hello guys…

Can the hood be adjusted to move fwd/aft?

Mine needs to move forwards a bit on one side…

Thanks!
