I'm taking the family to gulf shores early July in mcFridge, so that would be a welcomed update for sure!

P.S. any recommended restaurants I should know about?
Haha! "McFridge!" We put an Igloo electric cooler in the back seat. It runs at fridge or freezer temps.
There's a three-prong electrical outlet under the rear screen, if you haven't noticed. We found a protective plastic sheet over it.

Humans figure out how to mostly drive right using just two eyes and some feel. We don't need no stinking ultrasonic sensors! Well, I can see people arguing that people have this super great brain, but I don't see those being used much...

On a very, very slightly related note (and a mild rant) - STOP should mean STOP. You can justify all you want but hear me out. If it isn't necessary to STOP at a STOP sign, why not replace those signs with a YIELD sign? That way, everyone would know that when you see a STOP sign, it's important to STOP. I can see many cases where STOP signs aren't needed but why leave it up to interpretation?

We've probably all heard the joke where the drive says slowing down is good enough and and cop starts whacking him with his Billy stick and says "Now, do you want me to slow down or stop?"

You guys seem to misunderstand what FSD means to Tesla. It is not a "sit back and read the paper" while your vehicle is driving you along. No, it won't go pick up your kids at school and bring them home safely. It is decent system that drives the car/CT OK most of the time. It is really at it's best when there are no other cars on the road. The other times, when it does not work, will be a total surprise. Or even where it used to work at an intersection, it doesn't work at that intersection anymore. You expect to follow the GPS route to your destination? It does that MOST of the time. This is negative me, but I do not believe Tesla will be able to deliver anything more than Level 2 FSD to our CTs with the current hardware. Yep, I'm a party pooper. I had hope for AI, but sorry folks, the vehicle needs more than hi res cameras for any higher level of FSD.
Elon should have just done a short-cut and bought the tech from Waymo's Google and be done with it.

It released the latest version to employees and outside testers and there are still feedback of "regressions" (I take this word to mean, it got worst in some operations).

You mean the Waymo that is very geofenced in a handful of locations and requires a $$$ equipment suite? No Thanks. Did you know the original Tesla Autopilot used Mobile-eye?

There is a reason Tesla went there own direction. There is no other system at this point that is mass producible at a reasonable price that has the capability to work pretty much any where in the world. I've been using FSD for almost 6 years and it has come a long way. Is it perfect? Of course not but in the last year or so it has gotten pretty damn good to where I often have zero intervention drives.

We put stop signs where they're not needed, and then apply that same logic that applies to a multi-ton vehicle to bicycles and pedenstrians.

Since the Cybertruck is steer by wire is it necessary to even turn the steering wheel while under FSD control. What would be the point?
It would be to allow graceful takeover.

If the vehicle was in a turn and the wheel was straight, it would be very disorienting to drive it in the wrong position.

BTW, all the other Tesla, when driven by FSD are effectively driven by wire.

It's an algorithm Tesla designed to give the AI a sense of depth perception.

Yep, your right, I missed the name.

But have you seen what it does yet? It is FAR from what the USS sensors give you.
And it's still the reason why things like Summon isn't here yet for non-USS vehicles.

The sonic sensors had their own difficulties.

And they were?

Mine work quite well.

But I still assume that you haven't seen the difference in the visualizations and notifications.
