I use FSD almost every morning when dropping my daughter off at school and for the first time ever, this morning it saw the blinking yellow light and slowed down from 30mph to 20mph. It definitely showed the blinking yellow light in the visualization, but I didn’t notice whether or not it visualized the sign or not. Nav continued to show the speed limit as 30mph, but the truck very distinctly decelerated right as it went past the sign. This was one of the signs where it’s a standard white speed limit sign mounted with a single flashing yellow light above it. Have other people had this work consistently before?

I have not experienced CT reading a “school zone when flashing” sign before. What version of FSD are you using?

I have never observed this - my commute takes me through two such zones each way. What I *have* observed consistently is if there are other cars nearby responding to the school zone, the truck will follow suit (even if in an adjacent lane). If I am alone it always ignores school zones whether flashing or not. Were there other cars travelling with you through the zone?

Nobody traveling with me to act as a reference, that’s what made it so striking.
I didn’t trigger the dashcam at the time, but I was able to find that part of the trip and capture it off the touchscreen with my phone.

Mine slows down at a flashing school sign near my house. it also goes down to 20 like the sign says. It still shows the limit as 45 on the screen. After it leaves the school zone I have to tap the pedal to get it back to 45 though.

Interesting. Are you also 13.2.9? "School zone" is the #2 reason I give for FSD disengagements (below "wrong lane" and just above "no right on red sign"). I am on 13.2.8 so maybe a 13.2.9 improvement?
