The new update today 13.2.2 did not give me any random wipes. I did about 45 miles of FSD in the soupy weather in the Bay Area today.
Just got the update overnight, I will drive soon to test it out. Fingers crossed.

First off much improved a lot less interventions. Now for some reason my wiper fires off randomly. I finally got fed up with it and turned the auto wipers off. Anyone else having this issue?
Yep. First drive after the latest update, it did this for about 30 miles. Since then, I've driven another 600 and the problem seems to have resolved itself.

On the off chance Tesla reads these I’m adding to the line of people complaining. The crazy wiper is driving me insane. Not only that but because the washer fluid on the end of the wiper where it passes over the cameras is useless due to the blade moving too fast I’m starting with a clean camera area and the dry wipes are smearing salt over the camera which the wiper fluid can’t clean off. So this extra wiping is making the cameras get blocked instead of helping to clear them. It’s insane this is in the software.

The latest update is in. Still occurring, but less frequent? Hard to tell, it is so distracting.

On a positive note, my family is enjoying Santa mode!

I was told that if the system thinks the front camera is obscured it will operate the wiper several times to attempt to clean the windshield glass in front of the camera.

I’ve driven with V13.2 FSD on for a number of drives over a couple hundred miles without seeing random wipes. I keep my windshield clean but I haven’t cleaned it before every drive. I haven’t seen the bug.

This might be true, but many things can obscure the camera, and perhaps the engineers have not accounted for this. I like the windshield wiper to remove water. Rather though, the wiper seems to be wiping sand or grit across my windshield. 11,000 miles and I have a severely pitted windshield. Interestingly enough, I have never had a bug splat, so I am not sure how anything collects here. However, judging by the screeching sounds from the wiper, there is a lot of grit involved. My cleaning efforts have been in vain.

Happening to me as well. Just got the latest update. Hope that’s been fixed. And yes, FSD is way better now!
Update- Windshield wiper no longer doing a dry wipe. No actual software update. Maybe Tesla snuck in a ghost update to fix the issue?
