Hi, I have a 2024 FS and have notice that the FSD is acting very strange. On a straight drive with FSD engaged, I would see two things that happened

1. Immediately when FSD is engaged, FSD would move the truck to hug the ride side of the road, to where it’s get on the white line.

2. The blue line that show FSD path has a slight left curve to it. Like it’s trying to go into a left turn.

Is anyone else having this issue or seen this happened? If you have this issue and have gotten resolved, how was it fixed.

Please excuse the music. My wife grab the video as it was happening. So sorry

About a year ago I had an issue with it hugging the left line on the highway. I performed a camera recalibration and never really had an issue with it since.

I second the camera recalibration. You can get to it in the service menu. You'll have to drive a bit while it calibrates. You damned sure better be in the middle of the lane while teaching it where center is. Helps to have well-marked road while calibrating.

Hi, camera calibration was the first thing I thought of and have done 3 of them already.

After purchasing the CT during the day time I noticed it happening. I did recalibration and it was ok for about 2 hours and it would happened again.

After 2 calibration, tech support suggested a full factory reset.

What happening is that after calibration or reset the FSD works great for a short period weather hours or couple of days, but it would go back to its faulty curve and hugging right side again.

Each time I drove as carefully and center and well marked lines.

I have services appointments on the 25th

My truck does the same thing, and I have calibrated the cameras many many times. Doesn't help. Hugs the right line sometime driving on or even over the line close to the curb.

Same issue plus on left or right hand turns with no other cars around it will cross over to the farthest lane rather than the closest and correctly lane. This could be over one or two lanes. Ridiculous. Tried all the above have appointment on Friday.

My FSD would hug the left side, but that was several releases ago. It's been perfect for quite awhile now.

Oddly, it always showed the actual position of the truck within the lane on the visualizer, and the path-planner was "curved" toward the center of the lane. So it knew if was on the line, and wanted to be in the center, it was just reluctant to do it. Weird, rite?

Have you spoken to SC? I’m seeing them tomorrow.

I have also notice something that may or may not be useful information.
I noticed that it does it more during dust. I tried FSD on the same road and the same length of road during the morning and mid day and no issues.

I will report back when I attempt FSD again during dust and see if I get the fault to do it again.

My 2024 did the same thing. They have to adjust the FSD camera pitch angle in order to fully recalibrate it. After they do that and it still does this, which mine did they will deem it within spec and you will have to live with it as it is a manufacturing defect in my opinion. My 2025 vehicles does not do this ever. I'm so greatful I have the 2025.
