Planning on a roadtrip with family on our Cybertruck (with AT tires and roof rack) this summer to Glacier National Park from SoCal. Going to Yellowstone will be no problem in terms of charging but before going to Glacier NP, only 1 Supercharger is available in Kalispell, MT. We're planning to visit my brother in Calgary after Glacier. There's not a lot of charging options in the Glacier NP area. Has anyone done this with their Cybertruck? I know all the charging options shown in Plugshare. Any real world energy consumption data? Since adding the roofrack and Baja Boss AT tires, my efficiency drops significantly. I'm now getting only 200 miles per full charge. I usually give a buffer of 10% from what Tesla Navigation arrival state of charge is telling me.

I spend a significant amount of time in that area. My suggestion would be to use the shuttle services within the park. If you're staying at McDonald Lodge, there is a Tesla charger there that is not often used. Again, you would have to leave your car there and then take a shuttle within the park.

If you charge up to 100 or close% and map out your destinations you will be just fine from the Kalispell supercharger. There are a number of hotels in the area that have chargers.

From spending over 25 years there, I will tell you that parking is a bear and it will be even harder this summer without a reservation or ticketed system. My best suggestion is to arrive at your destination somewhat before Sun rise in the morning.

It is more of an adventure in time management than it is a vacation for many to go to glacier. It is worth it. You will enjoy it. I've hiked about every trail and the entire park and live about 45 minutes outside it. Just far enough away and close enough at the same time

Thanks! Since we will be bringing our dog with us, we are not planning on doing some hiking. Our trip to Glacier is more like of a hit and run, drive through the Going-to-the-Sun road, stop at view points and visitor center.

I would never take an EV to Glacier National Park if it only had 200 miles of total range. Yes, you could do it, but why? You have sleep in the bed you made. It's hard to imagine what one might do to turn a Cybertruck into a 200 mile machine!

You will be absolutely fine. I go up to Logan pass all the time. Highly suggest going up to Polebridge on the West side of Park. Even Bowman lake. I have been out to with no problems.

Highly recommend getting up early and hiking up to the hidden pass overlook from the Logan pass parking lot. It's a very easy couple mile hike that tens of thousands of people do each year of all abilities. Once you get to the top you will have a beautiful overlook. If you get there early enough in the morning the dog and everything will be fine and remember it's all down hill back to town.

That is pretty easy. I do suggest checking in with the RV park ahead of time. Also dialing back your amperage so you don't pop their circuits.
Some have separate sites for that or separate charging areas all together. Plugshare is your friend. Also, casinos are an often good resource.

To edit most often in a national park, you're not going 60 or 70 mph. So if you are judicial in your energy usage from the Kalispell supercharger into the park, you will be absolutely fine. You can go up to Logan pass. Maybe even go a little further. Stop at sites and then return but have no problem because you will not be going 70 mph ever during that drive

I did go through the park in M3 long range about 3 years back. There was no Kalispell charger at that time. Stayed at a resort with destination charger just outside the park and again at Lake McDonald charger. Was able to make it to St. Mary’s lodge and charged overnight at the RV park 1/4 mile away ( booked a spot well ahead).

We did this exact same trip. I was on MT tires and had probably 280 miles range max.
brought our dog and camped at one of the campgrounds in the glacier national park.
I charged 100% at kalispel charger.
spent a day/night/day in the park.
drove the going-to-sun road all the way basically.
went back to Kalispel charger to continue on our trip to Canada.
We were fine

My wife and I took our dogs to Glacier, in our FS CT AWD, in AUG-SEP 2024. Our charging strategy was to camp at RV parks and charge via the 50-amp RV service. ZERO range anxiety, though a day and half of rainy weather reduced our comfort level a bit.

Thanks! Those RV camps are life savers.
