haha you guys don't stop uh more Ad hominem

I understand it perfectly but I don't agree with it. And if you understand how easy that could be fixed and tried to understand the pitfalls this comes with. one of which I found out the Hardway no foul this time. but who knows next time.
There's nothing to fix. If you want something to operate automatically you have to set it to Auto. If you turn off automatic operation of anything then you have to operate it manually. You've taken control and then it's entirely on you to turn them on and off. That's just NORMAL.

You seem to finding hostility or an attack (ad hominem or otherwise) where it does not exist. Parking lights are a feature and operate identically on basically every car. You don't like it and that's fine, you wish it would do something else and that's fine. It isn't however broken, they are doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing and what they do on every other car.
did you just join the conversation i think you need to read from the beginning. because you dont understand my argument otherwise you would know that its not the parking litgts when in use that I have a problem with its the fact that they never turn off. even when you are gone away from your car its only that part that i have a problem with. I hope you can see that its not a problem of me understanding how they work and I have never been hostillie in any of my post it may sound that way to you but thats your perception am telling you right now no hostility intended so you can drop that false naritive now.

The only issue I have with the headlights is I can’t toggle high beams. You have to hold the steering wheel button or let the vehicle decide..

Anyone find a way to toggle them manually?

I needed the high beams at night when the low beams didn’t suffice.

You literally just inferred that I was attacking you. I'm not sure why you think I'm accusing you of hostility, I've done no such thing. I've read the thread from the very beginning. Parking lights are intended to be turned on when parked somewhere risky, like the side of the road. They're expected to stay on until turned off, presumably when you're not parked somewhere that requires extra visibility. They aren't used in a parking lot where you expect people to be parked, because they aren't needed. In many European brand automobiles, you can use the directional to turn on the parking lights on only one side of the vehicle (the side closest the road) so they don't draw as much power. Hazards are meant for use when your vehicle is stopped (or going substantially slower than expected) somewhere it shouldn't be, like a travel lane or the side of an interstate (where parking is not allowed at all). I understand what it is you want, I understand why you're using them the way you are (it's nice you don't want to disturb your neighbors), but none of that changes the fact that the Cybertruck parking lights are working the way parking lights are supposed to work. Fortunately for you, the Tesla battery can probably run those lights for days if you forget to turn them off again. I've had to come jump start the kid's cars more than once when they forgot to turn their headlights off.

Yeah, not a fan of that setup at all. If I use the button for the high beams, it disables the auto functionality, but doesn't revert to full manual operation. Pushing the button should either revert fully to manual (where it toggles the high beams) or it should flash the high beams and return back to auto functionality. What I get now is they only stay on as long as I'm holding the button down, but then I have to disable and enable auto high beam in the menu before they'll start turning on automatically.

A quick high beam flash is usually a good way to signal another driver when they can't easily see you waving them on through the windshield, but I find myself avoiding it because it's dangerous to go diving through the menus to turn them back to auto while driving.
