This dear incident makes me think about the safety regulations in other countrie, like in Europe, dealing with the protection of pedestrians. So the CT in thoses countie will certainly needs to get some modifications.

You need a pair of Deer Whistles. I use them on my motorcycle. They run away from the deer whistle. I now have them in my CyberTruck. Less than $7.19 via Amazon. You install two per vehicle. All the guys I ride with on motorcycles have these installed. When we see deer on the side of the road and ride by with the whistles, they don’t stick around.

Studies referenced appear older so maybe there is some new and improved tech going into modern deer whistles? Seems like the deer are probably running away from the sound of Harley straight pipes!

Hmmm, I was under the impression that Teslas would at least attempt to brake in these situations. I even seem to recall a video or two where the car did brake.

Yes, even the electronic reaction time wouldn't be enough to prevent a strike given the speed and distance, but at least it would begin to slow down.

I'm not a hunter, not opposed to it, but I have taken two deer with vehicles. The first was a doe I nailed with a Peterbuilt back in the day.
When she came out from under the trailer wheels she was spread pretty thin.
The other was harvested with my little Nissan van. It was a baby and it went completely under the van and ended up in the ditch. Came out of the woods so fast I didn't have time to touch the brake.
There a lot of suicidal deer in my neck of the woods.
