Waste of good venison to just leave it there.
In most places it’s illegal to take hit deer for meat as it incentivizes hitting rather than hunting…we would just rig our trucks to plow them down. I think there might be a quota for how many if any vehicle hit kills you can take.

I'll do it a little more on the side on my CT's sharp edges so I can just pick up the deer already skinned and ready for BBQ.

Seriously, I was happy you are safe.

I worried about elk and moose in Montana and Alberta.

It is said that the tall legs and weight will make it topple into the widshield to be fatal when hit.

Musk said it's shatter-proof but I don't want to be the one to prove it.

Surely someone would have to be either very hungry or very stupid to risk injury and unless they have a rather reinforced front, vehicle damage, to get a deer by running into it. And if they had a vehicle modified for that purpose, it would be obvious and quite different from if they were simply fortunate to be in drivable condition after hitting the deer.

Left on the road, it's a hazard. Moved to the side of the road, even in the boonies it's a nuisance, in a more built-up area it's quite a nuisance. So removing the carcass ought to be a public service.

Not that I would. I'm probably not in good enough shape for that sort of thing, and way too squeamish to want to clean and drain it, and don't know any place that would properly butcher it (and save the skin for me).

I wouldn't mind a few pounds of venison and a deerskin coat, but I'd just as soon not get it the old fashioned way.

(Fuddruckers had elk burgers once, and to me they tasted closer to beef than bison did)

No dashcam footage? Mine recorder a bird flying off the road recently, I’m sure it’s on there if you had it enabled.

You need a pair of Deer Whistles. I use them on my motorcycle. They run away from the deer whistle. I now have them in my CyberTruck. Less than $7.19 via Amazon. You install two per vehicle. All the guys I ride with on motorcycles have these installed. When we see deer on the side of the road and ride by with the whistles, they don’t stick around.
