First off I know this is bad--see link below. This (gunmetal PPF) was done by a local business who specializes in detailing, ceramic coating, and PPF. I have had my other cars detailed and ceramic coating before, but this was his first go at a PPF CT. I assumed it would be doable for him. He's always gone above and beyond. He took 6 days, and just dropped off my CT while I was gone and I just arrived home. He called me as he was dropping it off and said "oh man you're gonna love it! It looks amazing". And then as an afterthought he told me he has to order special glue to help tack down the wrap-around edges cause those weren't sticking, but it's an easy fix.
For those who are professional, how acceptable is this to you? Is it salvageable? Even if he can "fix it" I really don't trust the process, and I'm not going to wait another 6 days for him to fix it. Appreciate the feedback in advance.

Tried to get photos to upload, but seems sight is having problems. Here's my album

That is absolute garbage. There is no way as a professional I would give someone paying me money their vehicle in that condition. I wouldn’t give it to them in that condition if I volunteered to do it. That shows a complete lack of pride in workmanship. I’m not a professional but you don’t have to be to see how atrocious it looks. If that’s the best he could do, I wouldn’t trust him to fix it because he gave it to you that way. Him saying “you’re gonna love it” makes it clear he doesn’t think anything is wrong with it.

I hope you didn’t already pay for that. You need a refund and pull all that off. That is ridiculous. FWIW I have a CyberTruck and had it wrapped in ppf.

This is really bad! The edges are one problem, that might be fixable indeed (depends...for instance if the edges were not properly cleaned, no glue is going to help with that). The bubbles might also be fixable. But what can't be fixed is the cut. The cut is wrong and overlaps poorly in places while leaving large edge areas in others. Perhaps one can live with it if the edges & bubbles are fixed, but definitely a pretty poor job that shouldn't have been given to a customer like that.

I love the color, but the quality of work is horrendous.

I wouldn’t be paying and telling them they need to remove the wrap. If you paid by check, cancel it. If you paid by card call your card company and charge it back.

I’d also make them remove the crap they installed, for free and if they refuse then take them to court.

That looks worse than my first attempt, and I'd be too embarrassed to post close-up pictures of that. How is it around the rear view mirrors? I ask, because to me it looks like they're using one of the generic cut patterns, and the ones I've seen are bad, but the mirror area is the give-away. In any case, no professional should have been happy to give this back to their customer.

Total was supposed to be 6500 and include ceramic coat. I paid 1/2 of up front as deposit. Haven't paid the rest. I'm trying to figure out what to do. Demand full refund? Make the shop redo it? But then how long do I wait and what will it look like then?

I should have added a picture of the mirror. There is about a 1mm gap around the mirror. He didn't take them off but instead wrapped up to the edge and you can see the metal. I embarrassed to even drive this. From far it looks "cool", but up close it looks like hell.
