Yeah, that is bush league. My buddy and I did ours and I know of a few hickeys that were left but nothing like that. I feel much better about mine now, sorry about yours.

I hope you didn’t already pay for that. You need a refund and pull all that off. That is ridiculous. FWIW I have a CyberTruck and had it wrapped in ppf.
Paid 1/2 of the 6500 up front as a deposit. He dropped it off last night while I was away. Haven't paid the rest.

I should have added a picture of the mirror. There is about a 1mm gap around the mirror. He didn't take them off but instead wrapped up to the edge and you can see the metal. I embarrassed to even drive this. From far it looks "cool", but up close it looks like hell.
Yeah, it's a bad generic cut pattern then, applied badly. The mirrors need to be removed, it's possible without doing that, but actually more effort.

Sorry this happened to you, I honestly think most first-timers could do a better job than this, save themselves $3-4k, and get a lot of satisfaction. It's not for everyone, but seeing this shows that it's apparently not for all professionals either. This must be the first time they've wrapped a CT, that's really the only reason it could be that bad. Wrapping a CT is almost an entirely different skill to wrapping a 'normal' car, we see the same issues when customer let wrap shops install our pre-cut PPF and center console wraps; they screw it up and blame the cut; they're just not used to working with pre-cuts that are designed for DIY install.

Believe it or not this was not a pre-cut pattern. We picked out the color from his swatch and he ordered a big roll. All these cuts were cut by him

Hmmm, we'll, they cut it locally them, it's for sure been cut prior to application, this is the giveaway, classic R2.5 turns on each of those corners, a human can't be that precise:

I did my wrap myself, and while it's not perfect, your wrap makes me feel really good about how I did. Plus the few panels I did mess up on, @TESBROS is sending me free replacements. I would highly recommend using them to buy DIY PPF kit. I was amazed at everything it comes with. I'll be doing a review on my experience after I have a chance to replace the pieces they sent me. Hopefully this weekend.

That's rough. If you're willing to do it yourself, reach out to us, and we'll hook you up with a fat discount for all the troubles. I hope it gets worked out. Let us know if you have any questions!

If you paid with a credit card, dispute the charge by contacting your card provider, following their directions regarding evidence of the unacceptable service. The credit card provider with allow the guy to give his evidence to counter your assertion and the provider will make a final determination.

If you paid with a check that has cleared your account, or cash, you will have to seek a court judgement, I suspect.

Oh man really appreciate that! I think I may take you up on that. My wife and 17 year old daughter are super talented artists--wife's an art teacher--- and both have an incredible attention to detail and quality. My wife came to me and asked if my daughter could wrap it and make some extra money and she would help her. All I had to do was order a kit. They watched a ton of YT videos and planned it out. At the last minute I said I'm gonna let a professional shop do it cause I was worried it would take too long and I don't really have a clean space for them to work.
They both are now saying "You should have let us do it". Of course they are correct ;)

First off I know this is bad--see link below. This (gunmetal PPF) was done by a local business who specializes in detailing, ceramic coating, and PPF. I have had my other cars detailed and ceramic coating before, but this was his first go at a PPF CT. I assumed it would be doable for him. He's always gone above and beyond. He took 6 days, and just dropped off my CT while I was gone and I just arrived home. He called me as he was dropping it off and said "oh man you're gonna love it! It looks amazing". And then as an afterthought he told me he has to order special glue to help tack down the wrap-around edges cause those weren't sticking, but it's an easy fix.
For those who are professional, how acceptable is this to you? Is it salvageable? Even if he can "fix it" I really don't trust the process, and I'm not going to wait another 6 days for him to fix it. Appreciate the feedback in advance.

Tried to get photos to upload, but seems sight is having problems. Here's my album

That's very bad. Does the installer think he is finished? Looks like a do over.

I spoke with him over the phone today and called him out. He took full responsibility and said he'll do whatever it takes to make it right. There was no argument on his end. He really wants to fix it and make sure I'm happy. I just don't think he can or has the skill do to it. I told him I want him to truly think about what he can/can't do and we would discuss it later this afternoon.

Luckily I paid with CC. Keeping all options on the table.

That's a good approach on your part. Working in his favor, the 2nd attempt will be better, possible perfect. We all know the first time doing something like this is a learning experience. I would let him do it again. His winning attitude is half the battle to get it done right.
