In Texas, you will need to pay in full several days before the scheduled delivery. Either overnight them a cashier's check or pay via Tesla app/Plaid.Is this something I can walk in and do on the spot or do I initiate it when I get delivery pick-up time?
Texas is different than other places/states. You don’t get to see it ahead of time.Great info. I am in Texas so you're saying this is a work around to what @turns2stone
said about paying a few days before? I link up with Plaid a few days ahead and see the vehicle, then hit pay?
You can make notes upon delivery of anything that needs (relative) immediate attention. Every car will have something minor. Some people won't ever see/notice, the rest can be fixed by mobile service via Tesla tech.Fair enough. Sounds like I have to do it the way you're saing. Have you had any experience where the quality didn't live up? Can you do anything about it other than opening a ticket?
When you order it on the app, after deposit you get a to do list. As you go through the list it will ask for payment with options. I wired full amount from high yield account, then got pick up date.Is this something I can walk in and do on the spot or do I initiate it when I get delivery pick-up time?
I would never show up drunk to pick up a new car! When I picked up my Y model, the only thing a Tesla person said to me was, "May I see your drivers license", then she handed me a packet and went on to the next customer. I stumbled on outside and eventually found my car, figured out how the key card worked then headed home. It was in August and I couldn't figure out how to turn on the AC till I was almost home.
