Does anyone else thing its crazy we are still waiting for the light bar? Not to mention, the best they could come up with is sticking it on the window with 3m tape and caulking? And we still don't have the hub caps we were promised.

Both of the items that were missing at delivery have not shown up yet. It is surprising, I fear being lost in the shuffle and wonder if they are even keeping track of who is missing what?

This is typical Tesla ... they will either show up at some point or we'll get some kind of equivalent non-cash credit such as Unlimited Super Charging for a period, etc.

Same with the extended battery. I don't think we'll ever see it. I think we'll see a 400+ mile CT variant first.

I'm hoping they come out with a different design, not a fan of what's out there right now. I'll probably sell mine tbh. Dunno.

How is this "typical Tesla"? When have they done this before?

There are a lot of cases where they promise something and it never comes to fruition.

________

All Model S/X made before November 2021 will receive a software update to change the horn to the center of the yoke.

Model S/X PS5 level gaming and tilt screen were advertised at launch, but didn't come until 2022 and then the Steam has since been removed.

The MCU 1 promise when buying FSD that the car has all components capable of delivering FSD (In most casers, they won't upgrade unless people take them to court).

Also vehicles like the Plaid +.

All slightly different than this, though.

You must be new here.
No, over 6 years with Tesla and Tesla forums and AFAIK, this is pretty much the first that they have done something like offer a voucher in replacement of something.

It's pretty much the only time that they have bundled hardware like this.

Anybody get the feeling that they are not very organized????
Facts matter.
Promise items aren't made yet
Promise software. Ain't there
Store items out of stock
Service centers are trained
Delivering nasty dirty damaged
Not ramping up up Delivery to keep up with 1300 per week, wait for more
Service Centers are not big enough
Waits times are months out

Not sure where you get not very organized from.

  • New products have lead times.
  • Store items that are out of stock or often because demand overwhelms supply.
  • You just have to understand the difference between a Tesla post sales deliver and a dealer's presale display of vehicles. No, they aren't showroom clean. That just not the Tesla model.
  • Not ramping up delivery? Sorry, you completely lose on this one. They are ramping delivery up as fast as they can. Trust me, they want to sale vehicles. Starting and optimizing a production line is hard.
  • Wait times are months out because of overwhelming demand.

Tesla was a different company in 2013 and even 2017.
I suspect that Tesla has already delivered more Cybertrucks this year than they did Model S in 2013 (25,000 units).
I don't think that it is unrealistic to believe that Tesla will deliver 3 times the number of Cybertrucks this year than Model S in 2013.

Using your criteria it sounds as if Tesla is much more organized now.

In the first full year of the Model 3, they shipped 145,846 units. But that's after 6 months
of production in 2017 in which the 4th quarter saw 2,425 Model 3s made.

Tesla seems to be blowing pass previous production numbers.

But I understand your anguish. It doesn't appear that you may have placed your reservation on the first night and you are now paying for it.
