Me saying they were gluing panels on was a figure of speech, didn't think anyone would actually take that seriously :p the tolerance stacking was caused by a myriad of things assisting manufacturing to get them through production hell, pretty sure using structural adhesive where a fastener would have done is one of those things and is documented.

mostly because in production hell they were literally just gluing them on.
I think I've found the source of the confusion

I'd love to know how you get the spreadsheet to work? When I look at it, it simply freezes. I can't search, can't scroll, can't do anything. I added my order to the sheet years ago, but can't see it. I known the spreadsheet has no bearing at all on an actual delivery date, but now I am curious to know what it says! I will keep waiting patiently! Ordered on day 2, based on subtracting the starting number from my order number, I was approximately 186,000 in line. :)

if you are already entered on the spreadsheet, then just type cntrl-F and enter your number without the prefex lettering into the search box. It usually doesn't take too long to find your place which will be highlighted. If you are not entered on the spreadsheet, then follow the intructions on the spreadsheet (hyperlink) to enter yourself

Thanks, much obliged. I entered my order in the spreadsheet years ago, my problem is the spreadsheet (at least today, for me) is unusable. I can pull up the search window using control f, but nothing happens when I search. I can't stroll more than a few rows, the spreadsheet simply locks up (the entire page does) and it is, at least for me today, completely unusable. Very frustrating. But thanks! I will wait patiently, I am assuming I would be incredibly lucky if my place comes up any sooner than early 2025, even though I ordered on day 2. And nothing would make me happier if I was wrong and it comes in 2024 sometime!

I wouldn't get too excited, yet.

Most Tesla "experts" are predicating a very small # will be delivered in 2023...nothing of conquences. And in 2024, NO ONE knows how many they will build. I see people saying they "know" Tesla will produce 200,000 Cybertrucks in 2024. Bull. They don't know. They are just hoping. It could only be 75,000-100,000. Tesla is still working hard on streaming, improving, and speeding up the pace of their 4680 battery production.

I have a relatively low reservation #, but I am expecting a 2025 delivery. We don't even know if they will deliver based on reservation #.
I bet they produce anywhere from 50-100k

The spreadsheet is now so large that most browsers and devices cannot handle it. In fact, Google will not let you use their app to edit the entire thing on mobile. You'll need a desktop with alot of memory.

I have a brand new, maxed out MacBook Pro and all I can do is open the spreadsheet, if I try anything else it just seizes. Not the technical term, I know, but that's the end result! :)

I have a 2019 alienware aurora desktop and I got the spreadsheet from this link https://sites.google.com/view/tesla-reservation-tracker/home (just google CT spreadsheet) and did a cntrl-f search for my reservation number and it popped up my line in less than a minute

Yeah, use Chrome and wait a few minutes before trying to do anything. The thing is massive. Your download speed may vary.

Thanks, switching to Chrome and a lot of patience paid off! Silly it isn't optimized for other browsers. Can't say I am happy with my delivery estimate, which I know has no actual bearing on reality, but I ordered Day 2 and my estimated delivery is March 2026. Guess I will be getting a new Wrangler or Recon next year to hold me over! :) Thanks!

I ordered the first day online and I am presently October 2024 according to the spreadsheet (it was September 2023 about a year ago)
