I’m interested in covering the sails and tailgate plastic too. Does anyone know if the sails are actually replaced with new parts for the recall? I will wait until I get the recall service before ordering.
My appliques' were replaced. The part numbers have been revised.

Will take photos later if you like. I thought I had one on my phone of the upper plastic areas, but I guess not!

I was just winging it and it took me 5 cans and a good part of a day. The front and rear bumper extend a significant way under the truck and are a LOT more surface area than they appear to be at first. Doing it the brush on way is much cheaper and more efficient, but I would practice on some cardboard or something to make sure you like the finish. I decided to just eat the cost for the spray because I didn't want to have to brush the front vent area but also wanted it to be consistent throughout.
Thankyou

Did you have to take the bumpers off as well to spray or did you mask them ?

Everything was removed. There is an established process in the service manual for all the parts. It's just a bunch of 10mm socket bolts, standard automotive push-in trim clips, and those clam-shell click-in things. All very easy, just take your time and keep track of your bolts. The front bumper was the most involved, but still wasn't too bad. It just required removing the frunk and some trim before you could access all the bolts.

I saw the posts from @Stickercity about their textured precut vinyl plastic protection wrap. Sure many of you have seen the post here: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/?-new-diy-bed-protection-kit-for-cybertruck-toprotect-cargo-bed-surround-vinyl-wrap-kit-?.22158/

To start I really don’t like the OEM plastic trim, not that it looks bad, but it just scuffs way too easily. So I wanted to try to protect the trim around the bed and rear bumper.

Install was super easy, actually surprised how easy I was able to do it by myself. Took me like a total of 30 minutes to do all both kits combined. I was expecting it to be harder and take longer to get j use right with no air bubbles. I simply cleaned the plastic, then sprayed each piece down with water as well as the vinyl wrap. Apply and align. Finally squeegee water and air bubbles out.

Looks, I like it. I think it added some much needed depth and detail. Feels better protected now.

Overall very happy with the purchase. The only negative I have if any is well, it’s just a wrap, while thick, still won’t last that long should get 3 years from it. So wish there was a more permanent solution at a similar price, but for now this will due and I’m happy.

Not putting money into covering up a recalled item. My rubber seals were coming off on the top appliqué. Went in and had them replaced and they put the same kind on and said I will have to come back again when the finish re-engineering the recalled appliqué. While I was there, another CT owner was there for the same reason

I personally like the look of the orange peel or texture on the sails and bed lip my self. The smooth plastic looks a bit cheaper to me and less rugged just not sure if I want to use this kit or just spray them my self with Bed liner. Only thing with bed liner is there ain’t no going back if you mess up or it looks like ish

Interesting way to go. Considering how easy to remove all the all the plastic trim is, I just got some spray-on bedliner from home depot, threw all the plastic pieces on the lawn, and sprayed the hell out of them!
[Jeff Foxworthy voice]: If your lawn has bed liner overspray on it..... you MAY be a redneck....

ETA: I may have used that for the solution when my son didn't want to paint the new bumper surround on his Yaris (after a fender bender).
