INSURANCE COST RISES

i am pretty shocked. i have a perfect driving record. i got insurance through tesla directly and the first month it was 350$. i just got my 2nd month bill. its going to 370$. it says my safety rating is 91 and they expect me to drive 10-15k miles in the first year (i took two 400 mile trips the first month). i didnt even price any other insurance companies out of convenience, but i guess i need to. 49 years old. perfect driving record. and i dont drive crazy at all. apparently you lower they score by not disengaging full self driving? i live in a fairly rural area of central Virginia as well.

Hey Bruiser, that is completely ridiculous, that’s a payment on a Honda accord. I honestly believe Tesla is taking advantage of us. If Tesla is charging so much to insure their own trucks, it’s very likely other companies will do the same. This really is a turnoff from purchasing.
