It's a general theme with pretty much all insurance carriers to bump their premiums over time, relative to what they offer to prospective new clients. They've concluded, I suppose, that it's cheaper to find a new customer than to retain the ones they have.

So just accept that you're probably going to have to switch companies every few years.

As for a VIN in order to get a quote.... if you're ordering a "standard" AWD FS (AWD, white interior trim, All Terrain tires) you can go to most any Tesla Service Center and grab the VIN off their demo model.
Wait, Tesla has demo cyber trucks now? Are they doing test drives? ?

I’m paying about $125 a month for heavy policy and new car replacement for 5 years from Erie. Check them out

in NC and clean record for 20 years.
I will check, but I doubt they offer insurance in Massachusetts.

$376 for 6 months progressive. 2k deductible. Switched from GEICO. 3 teen drivers on policy. All clean driving records
It seems like across-the-board progressive is trying to get more cyber trucks on board. From what I understand, they are very Tesla friendly. Maybe it’s not a fluke that they were the lowest offer.

Try Tesla insurance. Its quick and done 100% in the app. For me it was by far the lowest quote. $220/m with $5000 deductible. I am in Houston, so insurance rates are high here, there are a lot of accidents/theft and natural disasters.
$5000 deductible? Ouch.

I'm in Florida with Progressive and my CT premium was $50 more (every 6 months) than the 2017 Ram 1500 that I traded in for the CT, with same limits/deductibles.

I used Geico when I first got my M3 in 2019, rate was high. Switched to Progressive next time I renewed, much better rate.
I've tried shopping around a few times since, but Progressive seems to be the best for Tesla.

I looked into Tesla's insurance program, but it's based on your driving habits . . . adjusted monthly. I don't want to think what my launches for all my curious friends, neighbors and coworkers would do to my rate. No Big Brother monitoring, thank you.
