I agree that smaller sized trucks would like fo better though Rivian falls into that size but its price is so ridiculous that very few are seen.
I guess the R1T could be classified as a "mid-sized" truck. It just isn't priced like one, given that it starts at $71,900.

?TROLL ALERT?

Cybertrucks are NOT piling up on lots, despite BS clickbait articles found on the misinformation highway ?

The fact that a decently equipped Ford lightning is $90k and in no way, shape, or form can hold a candle to a Cybertruck should be clue for all these commenters who want mommy to buy them a CT for $50k.

The reason they may not be piling up now is due to a lack of production. It is irrefutable that they were backing up with unsold stock. Ad Hominem attacks against anyone wanting the truck to be sold for the figure we all put our reservations down is pretty infantile, mate.

Tesla has almost halted production to sell all the inventory on hand, every trusted Tesla source proves this. It’s ignorant to believe there is no problem.

To the previous poster, Tesla delivered a CT with far worse specs and even inflation adjusted is overpriced. Many people waited a long time just to be priced out.

It’s ignorant to believe clickbait perpetrated by anti-Tesla and anti-EV sources.

And “worse specs?” ?

If you actually owned a Cybertruck, you would know this, it’s clear you do not which raises the question why TF are you even here? This is a “Cybertruck Owners Club Forum” ?

One simple example: Tri announced at 500+.

Troy Teslike is not anti-EV or anti-Tesla and has a history of rather good accuracy in his predictions, some quarters are more accurate than others.

I saw for myself at least in two areas. As such I didn't mean to infer it was everywhere.

The Lightning is a waste of money and im not expecting my mommy to buy me a 50k Cybertruck.

Come back when get one, this is a Cybertruck owners club, and avoid the hatebait telling you nonsense.

And where did you ‘see for yourself’ Cybertrucks piling up on a dealership lot?! Tesla has no dealerships!

My guess is you saw the now defunct article/picture of a bunch of Cybertrucks at the Austin plant in an article claiming that they are piling up. Total BS

The Cybertruck was the number one selling electric pickup and number one selling EV in America in 2024, that’s not gonna change for 2025 despite what the oil companies, the internet, or anyone else, is telling you.

My crystal ball prediction is FSD goes unsupervised in the next 12 months, and after that, literally every Tesla vehicle will be sold out for the foreseeable future...

I apologize if you've read my price breakdown before, but I bought at the end of March because I thought the price was too good to ignore.

Just looking at the most common version of CT, the AWD dual-motor, the original predicted price was $50k launching in 2021. Well, it's 4yrs later and we've had a ton of inflation that wasn't expected. I calculate ~18%. That would make something priced at $50k in 2021, equal to $59k in 2025. That would be an amazing price to get an EV with a 123kWh battery.

If you ever shopped for a PowerWall and thought about PowerShare, you know how expensive that can get! I'll be able to run my house for 3-4 days in an outage. I'm planning on putting in a standard generator interlock on my electrical panel, rather than the PS.

I bought a 2025 dual made in February, the $79,990 model. After the delivery fees, it was $82,230. I got a $1k referral credit, a $7.5k fed tax credit, a $7.5k state EV rebate, a promo finance rate of 1.99% which is the financial equivalent of knocking off $6.4k, and free FSD for 13 months worth $1300.

Most people don't get a $7.5k state tax rebate, though some states do have varying amounts of credits, that you may or may not qualify for.

All I'm pointing out is that when you factor in all the incentives I got, it drove the net cost down to below the inflation-adjusted launch price. The other factor I considered was the risk of the tax credits disappearing, retroactively. They did subsequently announce they were disappearing, but not until the end of the year. My state rebate is also tied to the federal program, so more incentive for me to do the deal now.

Because the credits are likely disappearing, I think there'll be a short-term rush to snap up new 2025 vehicles that qualify. Obviously not the 2024 inventory, since they never qualified.

I would think any opportunity where Tesla offers significant discounts and promo financing, and/or free FSD transfer, would be a good time to buy. Each of the three are worth as much as $8k. We all get buyer's remorse if prices go down further, but we also feel bad if the inventory dries up before we buy. So, you have to make a tough decision.

Tesla has a storied history of releasing a product at a high price, and lowering as manufacturing costs come down. The CT will be no different here.

Many folks are discounting the various sources of sales for this truck. For one, I suspect that this will be the next near universal de-facto police and security vehicle as it arguably is the most hardened civilian vehicle ever built.

Great points and in line with my rational to “go for broke” on the CyberBeast FS series with white interior, simply based on availability, didn’t wanna wait an extra couple months for the grey after impatiently waiting for my tri motor since Nov 2019.

And ZERO buyers remorse after pricing out all the FS additions which now add up to a lot more than what I paid; PowerShare, FSD, white interior ?, etc.

I didn’t qualify for any tax credits on the cost of this vehicle in my state, or fed, other than an paultry amount for the Powershare system but no tears here.

And…I’ve literally made money on four of my Teslas based on tax credits and incentives, a pandemic and supply chain shortage, and Carvana. That party is now over, but the profits were realized.

And when I hear people, and Internet chatter, suggesting that the cybertruck is not priced like it was in the 2019 launch I’ve gotta roll my eyes completely out of my head. ?. “What planet are you from?!” Is my typical response.

Have they looked at the price of a current POS Hummer EV? Do they realize the released version of the CT includes four-wheel steering and a bunch of other technology that was not present in 2019?

Have they ever been inside of a Cybertruck with unfettered access to the accelermatrix system ? and driven it before forming an opinion vs forming an Internet based opinion founded on Clickbait and hatebait?

Hearing the cry babies whine about not getting a CT for 2019 prices in 2025 has got really old and suggesting that they are piling up on “dealership lots“ is annoying AF.

The AWD CT with the soon-to-be-gone tax incentives is a complete stainless steal right now. Snooze you lose, YOLO, etc.
