Found my first complaint about the CT. I have an iphone pro max. I love the position of laying the phone and how its supposed to wireless charge. But my phone is in a mag safe case. Just gets HOT. and doesnt charge. Anyone else dealing with this or is it a my unit thing.

lemme know thoughts or workarounds. its a fairly thin case... and i wireless charge everywhere else. Just in the truck, doesnt charge.

Same problem. I’ve heard it’s just with iPhones. Anyone know if there is a fix possible OTA?

I had this problem with 2024.2.100 (shipped with truck)...charger was glorified phone heater. After the update to 2024.8.8, phone charges properly now.

I also have had this issue for the whole 2 months I've had the truck I haven't tried it in the last couple weeks though; good to hear it -might- be solved with software. I'll try it again this weekend. iPhone 14 Pro Max (no case).

Today I drove for an hour. Still got overheated with the case on. I took the case off and it at least didn’t lose the charge. But didn’t gain any. I have the latest Cybertruck software.

I have a Pixel 8 Pro in a 0.2mm thick case. It also does not charge. Truck is amazing but when using JBV1 with a Valentine One on a 90 minute trip, phone died while in the charger :(

Hope they fix this, but I'm going to add it to my initial service ticket as there were a couple other minor issues with the truck that need to be addressed.

I gave up on the center console charger slots and mounted two wireless chargers on the sides of the screen. The other benefit is being able to see my phone screen since we aren’t deemed worthy of CarPlay in the Tesla world.

Works great on my Samsung S8+ with a thin plastic case. This is a phone with a pretty big screen. If I had a smaller phone, I might try shimming it up off the bottom of the V-slot to see if that gets it more centered on the charge coil.
