Is a new Refreshed Tesla Cyberteruck model coming ? Late 2025.Should I wait ?
My guess is no:

- Tesla has provided no evidence of a refresh and they generally don’t refresh for several years.
- The Cybertruck is great and doesn’t need a refresh. Most of the things people would want are either achievable by third parties or not of interest to Tesla.

If you like the Cybertruck why wait an indefinite period of time for a possible refresh?

I wouldn’t expect a major refresh of the CT for a VERY long time given the large amount of money Tesla spent on tooling for this version. Just look at the model S. It’s essentially been the same car for a decade.

What I do think is likely after a bit more time passes would be a bigger battery. The towing range of a Silverado EV blows the CT out of the water, even though the Silverado isn’t nearly as efficient. I wish they would delete the smugglers bay and make room for additional battery there.
All they need to do is to get the 54% increase in range they predicted for the 4680 structural battery pack and they would be in the mid 400s without more space.

Refresh? What are they going to do with the unsold CT the sitting on the lots now?

If your thinking of buying now is the time. O% financing can't go wrong with that.

That was all hypothetical. We have no clue if they can ever come close to those numbers. As Elon said, making batteries is hard.

You don't need additional batteries there, the existing battery pack has plenty of room for more batteries, it may even be large enough to stack more. I'm sure there is some price/efficiency/impact to purchase decision going on currently which resulted in what was shipped. As things change I expect that formula will change and range will change in the future.

I'm fine with the range it has for 99.927% of my needs. ?

There isn't additional room, currently. They'd have to redesign it or use a taller battery.

You sure about that? Sandy Munro stated that the pack looks like it could hold more batteries when it was torn apart in his review. Of course taller batteries or stacked batteries could also be am option...

True. All I said was that if they could do it then no additional space would be needed. In the time since then they (and others) have been developing new chemistries and getting better results. It wouldn't take a lot of improvement to get over 400 miles and that would help towing a lot.

Both Sandy Munro and Tesla confirmed that that space is for safety. I do not believe that that space will ever be available for more/larger batteries. I would place a higher probability on improved battery chemistries than that. Telsa is always reviewing and testing new battery chemistries and now that they have 8 battery lines and 2 factories making batteries they have more flexibility in testing new batteries.

He was corrected by Tesla and said this. There's no room to stack or add more batteries. The space is for cooling.

Given that remaking the Cybertruck line to design a bunch of body panels, Tesla COULD take a little apex off the top... windshield, Cant rails, windows... The modification wouldn't be too extreme but would change the look enough to warrant "refresh". Maybe in a few years...
