Just went in and canceled my founders edition order for an all-wheel-drive, wanted to cancel before they assigned a vin, and then the $2000 delivery fee starts to come into question. I just couldn’t keep it and pay that extra 20 grand, especially when it included the full self driving, which I just paid $200 on my model Y to try out this month, and I absolutely can’t stand it. so I really just couldn’t pay $12,000 to get that on the cyber truck and just be miserable. I really love what Tesla is doing with the technology in the cyber truck, I just don’t need to be the first person to have one And I think I’ll wait until the technology gets a little bit better with the batteries and then get some more range, and then the price comes down. I’m still suffering from paying $70,000 for this model Y performance before all the price drops. I’ll just wait a couple years and see where the cyber truck pricing is then.
The conversation with the wife didn’t go as expected huh!? Sorry to hear… haha j/k ; )

Can you guys all just quarantine your FSD pricing conversation to one thread? This is getting pretty tiresome. You’re like a group of zombies, trying to infect other people with your nonsense. It’s well documented in every other thread that they will honor the FSD price.

I sold my Model Y for $70K also, but that's another story... Used the proceed to get into a Taycan Cross Turismo so money already spent thus I'm also in the CT Oder Cancelling boat. I'm going to wait for prices to come down a little before getting the CT.

When you canceled Founders I'm guessing your original reservation number is also now gone is that correct? Does your original RN show in your account or is it completely gone now and you have to enter a new reservation for the non-Founders AWD?

I get it, I bought 2 Tesla’s last year, the price decreases equal about $50K cheaper for the same 2 cars today. That is brutal. That’s why I’m in no rush, I want a CT, but if it’s a year plus that’s fine, I need to pay down my S and Y.

Damn, that really stinks. Sorry to hear that.

It does, I try not to focus on it, we do really like both cars. I was willing to pay what I paid, the resale value is just crushing, but it is what it is. I typically trade cars every few years, might have to wait longer on these.

Yes unfortunately, everything is gone. If I want something now it’s to the end of the line and make a brand new reservation.

There has been a TON of discussion on here about FSD pricing. I believe I've seen sufficient documentation to believe Tesla not only WILL honor it, they MUST honor it. It is a VERY different situation from the vehicle pricing.
Completely agree with you and I cannot believe it’s still a topic of conversation here.

Just to be clear, no one on here has seen anything yet that Tesla is actually going to honor (or not honor) the 7K FSD pricing, correct? My feeling/suspicion is that they will not.
Yes! Correct!
You're suggesting that Tesla violate criminal law again.

Can’t blame you. Have one ordered here in San Diego, awaiting a VIN, but it is a lot to swallow.

For anyone questioning whether or not they would honor the initial FSD reservation price, would be damn near criminal for them not to. I can’t understand why they wouldn’t give people a 5k discount on FSD when 2 million+ gave them a $100 interest free loan. Small price to pay to avoid a potential class action lawsuit.

It is a little confusing you saying that FSD is $12,000 when for everyone in the first month or so of reservations were locked at $7,000. Anyway, the feelings are understandable.
I don't know how it's locked in at 7000 when I put an order down for the Cyber truck it was only $6,000 for FSD and the model y was around $36,000.

to be fair, they’re not honoring it with the Foundation editions.

which can be somewhat explained away obviously (pay to play), but isn’t exactly a favorable fact

pre-orders who had shown the most and earliest interest/faith in the CT/FSD, are left to in effect pay the most for the Founder’s edition

while people who didn’t lock in FSD, receive the most value by getting the Foundation edition

I still think it’s most likely that FSD lock in will be honored when it comes to normal retail sales, but would have been absolutely certain if the locked-in buyers were to have received the Foundation edition at a discount compared to those who hadn’t locked in

Meanwhile, Tesla’s doing wild things with orders and pricing so far (like the guy who just got to configure a second truck, from a 120X RN pre-order placed 3 weeks ago), that leave me dubious of anyone asserting unqualified confidence in what Tesla will/won’t do as a matter of principle

This may (or may not) muddy the waters a little bit. For my 2018 Model X , I can purchase FSD for $6000. This is less than the $7000 and the $12000 price bandied about in all the discussions.

And why do I get this price? Because I have paid for “advanced auto pilot” in my original order. At times this price was up to $9000 and it dropped back down (I cannot recall if it ever dropped lower than $6000).

Not that I advocate it at all, but in light of all the discussion of whether the Foundation edition price makes sense, could “advanced auto pilot” be a required purchase before the $7000 FSD be honored (in non-Foundation models)?

Excuse me if this has already be explored and discussed to death.
