Well,

I towed my 1952 Willys M38 to the 2025 KOH with my Foundation AWD and the truck did not disappoint. Towed 450 miles, stopped at 6 chargers, Ave 170 miles range, took 9hrs. Expected that and planned for it. Normally it would take 7.5hrs with gas truck and 3 stops for gas.

I stayed 7 days and saw it all. Truck lost about 10% charge sitting overall but I used my Jackery solar panels and Jackery battery back up to charge the truck 3 miles an hour to maintain it. That system worked flawlessly. Using my starlink mini I watched on the CT screen in comfort all the race sections I couldn't reach or just wanted to stay at camp and enjoy the spot which was great at Hammertown Heights Estates!

All the people were great there. Not so much outside of the area while driving the truck around. Well, only about a dozen people I met had negative things to say......I just responded with "the only bad thing about the truck are the negative opinions".....lol. Loved the confusion on peoples faces.

At Optima Oasis had 2 days of food, off road excursions with Rivians, CT's and they provided entertainment in a giant heated tent. Highly suggest if going take advantage of this place which is right next door to The Forty. It's a huge area with entertainment, food and a bar! On the drive home I stopped at The Works in Mojave and wow, did not disappoint. Huge servings and great food. Stopped at Kettleman City Tesla Lounge charging and was very nice. First time being at a Charging Station like that and can't wait for more to be built and more with 325kw and on up!!

Curious about your rack setup. Is that DIY? Do you have any more info or previous threads talking about it?

Someone needs to take a serious purpose told Ultra4
Hmmm...that should be a sticker. ?
Someone needs to build an Ultra4 Unlimited Chassis with a modified quick changeTesla Battery Pack and Motors just to show how well it would perform. KOH is more about handling and suspension than Powerplant IMO.
I think it would put some of the negative comments to bed.

Did you flat tow or use a trailer? Do you have m/kW at a certain speed you can share for the trip?

I flat towed. Like any trip it varies with wind and terrain. Wind was really a killer. Mostly saw it pulling 600 to 800w/m.

No transmission, no T case needed with EV. Also no stupid driveshaft that can get bent up, connecting the front and rear axles for Dual motor EV. Even smarter would be a quad motor so no differentials needed at all. no locking diff needed bc there is NO diff. You can start to do all kinds of torque steerer tricks with four electric motors, like pivot and tank turn. Also, when you roll the car over, you won’t flood the cylinder heads or have hot transmission fluid leaking out of the shifter all over you. A lot of fires in off-road racing are due to hydraulic fluids leaking (PS, transmission) and splashing on hot exhaust. You don’t need to worry about a dry sump /oil lube either when you’re at extreme angles rock crawling. So many aftermarket, t-case , differential and gear suppliers are gonna be pissed off once electric vehicles are used in off-road applications . Even for UTVs it would be so much easier to operate without that transmission + motor w/ turbo. Prepping for the weekend would be way cheaper and easier once it’s fully electric.

They do have an all electric class and also anyone can race in the Everymans Challenge. This year was the first year not a single all electric entered to race.

This looks like so much fun.
We have yet to camp out in our CT. Maybe it's time...
