Well,

I towed my 1952 Willys M38 to the 2025 KOH with my Foundation AWD and the truck did not disappoint. Towed 450 miles, stopped at 6 chargers, Ave 170 miles range, took 9hrs. Expected that and planned for it. Normally it would take 7.5hrs with gas truck and 3 stops for gas.

I stayed 7 days and saw it all. Truck lost about 10% charge sitting overall but I used my Jackery solar panels and Jackery battery back up to charge the truck 3 miles an hour to maintain it. That system worked flawlessly. Using my starlink mini I watched on the CT screen in comfort all the race sections I couldn't reach or just wanted to stay at camp and enjoy the spot which was great at Hammertown Heights Estates!

All the people were great there. Not so much outside of the area while driving the truck around. Well, only about a dozen people I met had negative things to say......I just responded with "the only bad thing about the truck are the negative opinions".....lol. Loved the confusion on peoples faces.

At Optima Oasis had 2 days of food, off road excursions with Rivians, CT's and they provided entertainment in a giant heated tent. Highly suggest if going take advantage of this place which is right next door to The Forty. It's a huge area with entertainment, food and a bar! On the drive home I stopped at The Works in Mojave and wow, did not disappoint. Huge servings and great food. Stopped at Kettleman City Tesla Lounge charging and was very nice. First time being at a Charging Station like that and can't wait for more to be built and more with 325kw and on up!!

Thanks for including the M38 too! Seems like a nice setup you got there. How many watts of solar do you have deployed?
thanks! I brought with me 4-200watt fold out panels, 2-100watt fold out panels all from Jackery that powered the Jackery 1000 system. I connected my Tesla 38amp charge connector to and had it set at 12 amps output. Worked great!! The 1k stored power would drain quickly into the truck but would take about 2hrs to recharge back from solar array and then I'd just repeat all the time the sun was out. I produced about 40k stored watts the 7 days I was there.

Looks like a fun trip! I like the Frigidaire badge, too! If I hadn't wrapped mine, I would add a SubZero badge! Lol1

Good one. I didn't have a choice, I was tagged by a friend the week I got mine. We laughed so hard so I just left it on.
