This morning I went to my garage and heard meowing, which was strange because I don't have a cat. Sounded like it was coming from my truck but I couldn't see it anywhere. I pulled it out of my garage and put it in extract mode but couldn't see it anywhere but it was meowing like crazy.

So I decided to go to Tesla Dublin and see what they could do. Service at Amador Plaza is closed on the weekends but it's open at Houston Place in Dublin. I went in and the first service advisor's guy reaction was that they couldn't do anything and I should call animal control. I asked if animal control was going to take apart my truck. So he went and talked to one of the Cybertruck techs and he agreed to give it a try for the diagnostic fee of $265. So I agreed and in about 30 minutes he had the cat out. It was about 1 week old and was hiding behind the battery. He told me there's a lot of space in there so he wasn't surprised that it was there. So just a heads up if you have any cats near you that are pregnant to be careful. Cats can easily get in there it seems.

My truck will be parked outside 99% of the time. Any ideas on how to deter animals from getting in there? A bunch of my neighbors park their vehicles outside, but I haven’t heard of any that have had issues with animals getting in. We’ve got a lot of stray cats that roam the neighborhood so that worries me.

I asked the guy that and he said maybe try wolf/coyote urine or something like that. He said there's really no way to seal that up perfectly.

Oh no. Couple of my neighbor’s cat like to hang around where I park the CT because it’s got direct sunlight. Hope they don’t go crawling up in there.

Might have to meow a couple times before I drive off ?

My truck has been solely parked outside in rural Wisconsin since May 2024 around plenty of stray cats and other critters. No cat burglars yet. I wouldn't worry.

Not a problem until you get a kitten in there.
