We went on a trip for a week. Due to recent events we took the Model Y to the airport and left the Cybertruck at home. We turned off sentry mode and climate control for both cars, but left the Cybertruck plugged in. The Model Y experienced (as expected since we have done this before) 1% battery drain every other day or so, while the Cybertruck experienced 3% battery drain every day (i.e., about 4 kWH daily). I am just wondering of this is what others are experiencing and what (if anything) Tesla is doing about it. I always thought that battery drain (at least for climate control) on the Cybertruck would be less than the Model Y since the Cybertruck cab is smaller than the interior of the Model Y. Clearly there is something else going on.

Mines not parked long enough for a recent comparison, this was normal 5-10 kWh a day when I first got it tho. But I do have cabin overheats and sentry running all the time.

Yes, the Cybertruck was in my driveway so I am sure that it was connected to the house network. I had not thought of that.

I recently left mine in my garage unplugged with sentry and overheat protection off when I was out of town 9 days. I was surprised to see only 2% loss during that time. Went from 68% to 66%. I assume it was connected to WIFI. I was carful to not open the Tesla App when away to prevent waking up the truck…maybe that helped.

Uploading info to Tesla for FSD etc chews through a lot of battery. But 4kw is a LOT of energy, an efficient home can run on 16kw a day so for the truck to be doing nothing and burn that much juice is a lot.

If you were gone for 7 days that would be the equivalent of an ice car leaking a gallon of gas, a lot of energy/money just lost.

That sounds about right to me. With cabin overheat protection on that’s roughly what mine drains if not plugged into anything. It does it at my house where I have sentry mode excluded too. There are lots of ways around that but that’s the baseline unfortunate situation I think.
May improve with software I suppose.

I had left my Cybertruck in my driveway, not plugged in, with 74% charge, and came back 9 days later to 71% charge. No sentry mode, weather was in the 40s, so no overheat protection came on.

Mine just sat in mine garage for 1 week (7 days), sentry off, wifi I think was on. Had app off all week. it lost 1%. I was surprised because in the winter I lost more like 5% in a week. Temps were in the 50's hear while I was gone.

With sentry + video on, mine loses 5% per day.
