Long wait on Delivery Day - normal?

Is it normal to wait almost 2 hours @ Tesla delivery center on delivery day?

I’m just wondering how everyone’s delivery experience was.

I just sent my wife home after an hour.
Picked up @ Silver Spring MD location.

I just walked up to my truck, inspected it, gave them a check, accepted it in the app, and left.

Are they working on it or something?

No idea! They keep saying it’s going through a wash? I showed them the app and asked can I just picked it up and go and they said no.
I couldn’t find the truck in the lot either.

5 - 15 min usually, unless you want to sit there and chat with them.

oof. That's where I'm eventually going to pick mine up... You know, once I get a VIN and delivery date. I hope that was a one-off kind of event and not their normal operating style. At 49 miles from my house, I really hope I don't have to visit often.

Took me around 4 hours but I also got it on the last day of Q2 so it's probably a fair comparison

They were trying to pump out as many cars as possible so they were busier than normal

Which one? You'll be lucky if it actually happens on the first one, mine was rescheduled twice. But, overall it took about 2.5 hours. I have Disabled Veteran plates so they had to process different paperwork, which may have taken longer, but aside from that... i barely interacted with an actual person.

Oh. Had mine a few days
Went camping. COULD NOT turn on outlets. Help desk said software missing. Refused to push it OTA. Got service appointment in October
