I took delivery over a month ago. Put 2k miles on the ct already, including a trip to Mammoth. Had no issues until this morning. No thunderstorms. Only new development was using the tesla charger at my vacation place for the first time. I tried to drive the car once tow truck guy jumped the car but all kinds of warning notices came on. No diagnosis from tesla yet. Keep everyone posted.
Ps. While this is a big disappointment, it is somehow expected. This truck looks and feels like nothing we have ever seen before. Elon needs to focus back on Tesla full-time instead of fucking around on Twitter all day.
Righto.
Next time maybe you can try to grab some error screenshots when they are on the screen, that way we can get a better idea of what is going on. Must be super frustrating though.

Did you have any power failures overnight that you know of?

Is it particularly cold, or a big temperature difference between places?
Thermal expansion is also a problem if connectors etc are out of spec.

Definitely!
Honestly I don't think that is going to happen, probably ever.

He is after solving much bigger problems now and at that point these technicalities need to be delegated. It's not like he designed the details anyway, rather just approved which design to go with, the implementation has 10's if not 100's of engineers involved and is an unattainable amount of work hours by a single person.

While this is a big disappointment, it is somehow expected. This truck looks and feels like nothing we have ever seen before.
Don't let looks deceive you. It's still has wheels and physics to deal with like every other EV. ;)

Also no reason to let your standards down when it comes to reliability. Sure something "new" can have teething problems, but this was meant to be better by design, which would imply more reliable, not less, because the improved design should have less potential points of failure, not more.

So does Tesla give you a loaner vehicle while your 100-120k CT sits in the shop?

At my service they did. I got a Model S and a Model 3. Both have issues, Model S had bald tires, and Model 3 has errors with autopilot which makes it useless. Good luck! Check it over well.

I would hope so, and if it is going to be there more than 24hours it should be a cybertruck loaner. You bought a truck to do truck things so a model 3 is not going to work unelss they are ok with me loading the trunk full of gravel.

It’s a crappy situation and I feel bad for @DKCBT but I agree that it’s probably to be expected. New production growing pains.
