My only conclusion is that at lower latitudes, the angle needed for connection is too great.
Like I mentioned before, I would have a connection holding it in my arms and move into the car under the star window, and not have a connection.
However, I'm about the same latitude as LA, and I imagine they have a connection. So, are there variations in ceiling glass or factory tints based on delivery areas? I doubt that too.
All I can say with certainty is that some people can get a connection while others can't.

Lastly, my connection depends on a northerly orientation. How do people maintain a connection while driving unless their "dish" follows a compass heading? Does a connection also need a certain longitude to have a broader connection field? For clarity, my longitude has Phoenix and maybe the suburbs of SLC, and that's about all, population-wise.

I see you are at a low latitude. I can't get a connection near Phoenix either. So I have concluded it is a matter of incidence and signal strength that causes southern latitudes to fail under the ceiling glass.
Interesting. Yeah I'm in Orlando. I never tinted the glass. There is the factory tint on it. But others seem to have no issues. Maybe once they get more satellites up it will work.

Mid to late 2025 CT's have a diiferent type of tint on them that have a better heat rejection component to them. Starlink cant get a signal through the new glass roofs.

Yeah, if you tinted the roof, won’t work.
Have moved mine to the rear seat roof position and it works perfectly, but I don’t have tint there.
Only true if you use a tint containing metal. Otherwise not related.

I’m in Phoenix. No issue. Glass is tinted with non-metallic albeit dark tint
I do however prefer the windshield position. No interest in placing this device inches from my children’s heads above the car seats.
this is not based on any knowledge of harm, just intuition and the desire not to take an unnecessary risk with the unknown.

Mounted mine above the middle rear seat and no signal for me. Going to have to find another solution. VIN 905xx.
