Anyone else notice motor induced ? vibration above 70 mph after the 2025.20.6 update?
Nope. Are you absolutely sure you don't have an imbalanced tire? The foam in your tire may have become delaminated.

This.

I would definitely get the tires checked for foam separation before jumping to motor vibration.

I've beat the hell out of mine and it's still smooth as glass. This is one of the things I love most about the Cybertruck.

Yes I absolutely noticed this recently on a long vacation trip. The truck would aggressively vibrate/shake above 70MPH. I already had a service appointment scheduled so I'm adding that into their checklist to see if they can troubleshoot the issue. I never though of it being tied to a software update though. But yeah, I'm experiencing the same thing and it's definitely worrisome.

I guess it could be a tire out of balance all of a sudden? I didn’t know these tires had foam in them. Is that something new? I’m due for a tire rotation and rebalance. But wanted to check if anyone else was noticing something similar after the last update. I had a similar vibration last fall that was cured by an update. They apparently adjusted the inverter programing.

I had the Tesla service center rotate my tires two months ago when it went in for servicing for something else. If it needs another tire rotation already then something is way off. I don't normal.ly drive at speeds equally or surpassing 70mph so I'm not sure how long the issue has been present for, but when driving on the highway when the traffic flow is 80+mph, I noticed it right away and it rattled everything in the truck.

I guaranteed it is foam separation in one of your tires. Same exact thing happened to me. Brought it to the SC and I told them that it is the foam in the tire. I took it out for a test ride with a tech and he said it was a front inverter. I told him it was a tire or multiple tires. He said it was an inverter. I said IT’S THE TIRES!!! So they proceeded to give me a loaner and put a new front inverter in. Fast forward 3 days later…………..Picked it up and started on my way home. 4 miles from the SC is the highway which I merged onto and at 71 miles an hour it started shaking again. Turned around and headed back and asked them if they test drove it. They said yes they did, but couldn’t go too fast since the speed limit in the area is 45. I said the highway is 3.8 miles from here and no one decided to take it up to the speed in which I told them it happened. So make this boring story short, I told them the tires are bad and to check them. Here is the result………
Tesla Cybertruck Motor induced vibration? IMG_2356

THE FOAM SEPARATED.
So I got a new inverter out of the whole ordeal and fucked up tires that they won’t warranty. That’s a whole other topic that was addressed in a previous post.

It happened to mine.
We were driving back from a 500 mile trip to the Sacramento area this week. There were no problems on the way down but half way back to Oregon the truck started vibrating after reaching 70mph freeway speeds. It would only happen when accelerating so I was thinking a motor problem at first.
This started happening after a supercharger stop in Cottonwood Ca. where the outside temperature was 105 so now I'm suspecting a separation of tire foam. I was going to just go to Les Schwab and have them look at it since I'm due for a rotation but if Tesla will replace a tire under warranty I figure it's better to bite the bullet and do the 240 mile trip to Bend.
I have an appointment next week so I'll see what happens.

Don’t waste your time……… they will do anything in their power not to warranty it. Or they will tell you to open a claim with Goodyear. Trust me, it is not worth your time.

It was just the foam. They took it out and rebalanced the wheel.
It only cost me $21,000 (We're upgrading our model Y) ?

I currently have my truck in the shop for a different issue but I asked that they look at my vibration issue and told them that it's likely the separation of the tire foam. The rep straight up told me that I was probably right because they're seeing that pretty frequently she said. It's still in for repairs now and they haven't mentioned anything about cost or having that work done outside of my warranty.

In fact, here is the status update directly from the "Repair Progress" section of the app from the technician copy/pasted below:

Verified customer concern rebalanced vehicle set of tires found one tire with foam separated replaced tire and verified proper operation was restored.

I received an updated quote yesterday from them with ZERO cost for that or any of the other work that I had requested from them based on other user feedback in this forum (i.e. addressing water ingress into tonneau cover, etc.). So I wouldn't say it's a lost cause to have them try to repair it because they must be starting to see how widespread of an issue this is turning out to be for them.

Just keep a good attitude and lay the facts on them (I literally printed posts off of this forum to show them the shared consensus of the foam separation including pictures) and they seem to have handled it with no cost as of now. I'll see what happens when all of the repairs are actually made ??

Hey I just wanted to report back and clarify some of the FUD that I come across on these forums sometimes.

The service center identified the separated foam in one of my tires and provided a FREE hassle-free replacement of the affected tire. They didn't even have a conversation with me about needing to do it. They just performed the swap and out marked it as complete in my app. Driving home I noticed the vibration was totally gone and everything is smooth again. Additionally, I asked them to add another slat to my tonneau cover and clean my front facing camera which they did, happily, also for FREE. So I can acknowledge that not all service centers are the same, but I can personally attest that I had a totally hassle free experience getting the vibration issue resolved while also netting some freebies by simply asking and everything was handled professionally, quickly, and without any expense.

Good luck ✌?
