I have 9000 miles(officially today) for full self driving without any issues however last night I experienced a weird sudden stop, no explanation why.

Any thoughts?

Same experience several months ago. When I went back and reviewed the video I could see a raccoon getting ready to cross the road.
Another night pulling into a driveway to drop off an elderly relative the truck stopped and showed someone crossing her driveway that was not there! It freaked everyone out so bad I had to get out and make sure it was clear. Who knows, maybe it’s a ghost buster truck!

Seems like a logical stop. 2 cars on the side with a double yellow in the middle.
wow, I never noticed those double yellow lines there

I think it is amazing that after 9000 miles of FSD driving, this little overly cautious pause by FSD when being forced to cross a double yellow line by what should be illegally parked vehicles (the ice truck is parked on the wrong side of the road) constitutes a concern. To me, this only confirms how good FSD is at safe driving. Thanks for posting it ... :)

I was cruising recently on US 301 no one in front no behind in the slow lane doin about 65 and all of sudden right turn signal turns on and next thing I know I was stopped on the shoulder of the road. I thought maybe an emergency vehicle was coming or something I even waited to see, and nothing only time this has occurred. Weird!
I traveled thru the same area since then and tried it again but it didn't do it again!

My money is on the pickup being identified by the FSD computer as a potential oncoming vehicle because it had no prior data to estimate speed/direction. Once it was confident it wasn't moving, it resumed (or you did). It had enough information to know the black vehicle was parked, but I assume it didn't see the truck until right before it stopped. I'd be curious if it would have reacted the same if the truck were parked legally.

Near me there is a double white line bordered "island" that separates a right turn lane from the main traffic lanes. Blacktop is less than a year old and is all road grade level. No raised island. You can easily drive over it. FSD will slam on the brakes if it doesn't manage to move over far enough to be in the proper turn lane. Yeah, I've reported it a few times.

I really hate the Curvature Assistant as it activates during auto pilot on a flat straight road. Anybody behind me will swerve into the next lane and give me a dirty look or on finger greeting when they pass. Obviously it would be interpreted as a brake check to them.

By "auto pilot" do you mean TACC or FSD?

Regardless, that's probably Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) demonstrating the "phantom braking" phenomenon where it mistakenly perceives an obstacle. I've not had this happen but it's been widely reported.

Lastly, you were probably going to get "the finger" anyway lol

Nope, my truck has given me that message when on straight, flat, clear road, that"feature" should be removed. It doesn't work and it's dangerous.

Yeah, the Curvature Assistant message shows up on the screen when that happens.
